A dark figure stood in the midst of a blinding, white light. The figure was tall, broad shouldered and was reaching out his hand in her direction. An enormous wind blew by and the figure started to get closer and closer. But then he turned around and a speedy object hit him in the chest, black liquid spurting out. In slow motion, he began plummeting backward...
“Julia!” A hand landed on her shoulder and shook her awake. She jumped.
“Why are you sleeping here? Are you okay?” Julia looked forward and watched three cars zoom past on the street. Why am I... Oh! She realized she had been sleeping against a wall near Sammy's Best Styles. Julia stood up quickly and faced Jaundice and Elise.
“Sorry, I came early and accidentally fell asleep,” she told them while brushing and fixing her clothes. She scanned her surroundings.
“Are you sure you're okay though?” Jaundice asked. Julia nodded.
“Why in the world would you come early? What time did you actually get here?” Elise asked.
“Mm... around ten.” They stared at her in disbelief
“Why did you leave so early?” Julia looked down and frowned.
“I... yelled at my mother last night so I didn't want to see her this morning.”
“You yelled at your mother?” Jaundice and Elise exclaimed in sync. Julia nodded and felt the painful feelings begin flowing back to her.
“Julia...”
Elise put her arm around her shoulder and squeezed. “Don't worry too much about it. You did the right thing by telling your mother your real thoughts. Don't worry, I believe everything will be alright soon and your mother will come to her senses. Right?” Julia looked at Elise.
“Right.”
“Alright so let's shop now!” Elise pulled Julia with her into the store and Jaundice followed. When they entered, the first thing that caught their eyes were rows of clothes, all hanging on racks on their right.
“Come on! We have to find good ones before it gets crowded in here!” The three of them raced to the racks and started to look through them.
“Julia look at this!.” Jaundice squealed while holding up a light blue button up shirt with long sleeves up to her chest. Along the rim of the neckline were small, white, sparkling sun shapes.
“That's cute,” Julia replied and smiled.
“Should I get it?”
“Totally.”
In a matter of time, more people came, entering into the store. The rows were now brimming with girls.
“Julia,” Jaundice said while making her way past crowds of girls. In her arms were a pile of clothes.
“I think I am pretty much ready. What do you think of this dress for my father's business party?” She held up a knee length dress with short sleeves.
I think it's perfect. You will look great.”
Thanks Julia,? Jaundice replied and stuck the dress on top of her pile. Are you ready to go?” Julia nodded.
