Jihoon decided that skipping class today was the ideal thing to do with Soorin, because they had a lot of things to discuss, and Jihoon had a lot of questions for Soorin. They ignored the yells from teachers that were walking through the halls and walked straight out.

They were still holding hands, but Soorin didn't protest. She was too busy thinking about whether Jihoon was lying or telling the truth.

They stopped in front of an empty park, and Jihoon sat down on the bench, Soorin following.

"Uhm," Jihoon starts. "C-Can I start?"

"Y-Yeah! Sure!" Soorin stutters, mentally smacking herself on the back of her head for doing so. "Wh-What is it?"

"Did something happen between you and Aera that I didn't know of?" Jihoon asks.

Soorin clears her throat. "Well, yeah. We kind of fought when we were separated during lunch?" The look on Jihoon's face made things harder for Soorin. "N-Nothing bad happened! We didn't get into a physical fight, don't worry! She just threw in insults about me and about how it's unfair that I was "keeping" you all to myself."

"That's weird," Jihoon mumbles. "Isn't it obvious that I was only comfortable around you?"

"Some people just don't know when to stop," Soorin replies. "But, hey, since it's my turn to ask you something, did you really mean what you said to Aera? That you love me more than a friend?"

"O-Oh, yeah, why would I lie about something like that?" Jihoon answers and Soorin bends her head down, hiding the blush that appeared on her face. "Yes, it's true that I like you more than a friend. I've probably been hiding this fact for four years now."

"Four-" Soorin splutters. "Four?! What?! Are you kidding me?"

"No..." Jihoon trails off. "Why?"

"You're so stupid!" Soorin complains, slapping Jihoon's shoulder multiple times (he's gotten used to this since she always does this whenever she's annoyed or angry at him). "Why didn't you tell me sooner?!"

"Wh-Why are you getting angry?!" Jihoon exclaims. "I'm the one expressing my feelings for you, so why are you angry?"

"Th-That's because- If you confessed sooner then we could've been a couple for a long time!" Soorin answers and Jihoon froze.

"'Couple for a long time'?" Jihoon repeats. "A-Are you basically saying that you like me back?!"

"Uhm, yes?" Soorin replies. "Is it really that hard to believe?"

"N-No, it's just-" Jihoon breaks into a smile so bright he could light up the place. He immediately hugged Soorin tightly, making her squeak in surprise.

"O-Oi, I can't breathe!" Soorin gasped out, and even if Jihoon did loosen his grip, he didn't let Soorin go. He was just too happy that she felt the same way as him. "L-Let me go! I-I have to talk!"

Jihoon quickly lets her go, looking at her straight in the eye to hear what she's going to say.

"Okay," Soorin lets out a huge breath. "Why did it take you so long to confess to me? You hid your feelings for four years."

"Do you even know how hard it is to confess? Oh, and you hid your feelings too! I'm supposed to be angry but I'm not! See our difference?" Jihoon complains. "Seriously, I don't know why you're angry!"

"I-I just-" Soorin sighs. "If you had confessed sooner, we could've been a couple and I didn't have to be so awkward around you!"

"Awkward?!" Jihoon repeated. "How were you awkward? You didn't even look like you had a crush on me! Seriously, you're so good at hiding your own feelings you know?"

"Oh, really? Did you not know that I act way different when I'm around you?" Soorin asks, but Jihoon doesn't answer. He was just smiling at Soorin, which was creeping Soorin out.

"So does that mean we're dating now?" Jihoon asks out of the blue, making Soorin blush. "Hey, why are you red? I'm asking a genuine question right here!"

"Yes, Ji, we are," Soorin replies with a happy smile on your face.

What Jihoon did next was pretty unexpected.

"GUYS! I'M DATING THE LEE SOORIN!" Jihoon throws his arms out, a happy smile on his face. "WE ARE FINALLY DATING AFTER FOUR YEARS OF HIDING OUR FEELINGS!" Bystanders who were watching were giving Jihoon a weird look, but he didn't care, not one bit. There was no one here that could stop him from screaming, except for Soorin, of course, but she didn't try to stop him. She was happy seeing Jihoon happy. "Hey, why are you staring at me like that? Do you find me that attractive?"

Soorin blushes and quickly looks away. "I-I wasn't staring! I was just making sure that no one is making weird comments about you."

"Oh, yeah? So you checking for anyone making weird comments is by staring at my face?" Jihoon asks, and Soorin pouts, looking away from him immediately. "Hey, come on! Don't be angry again! This isn't fair! How come you get to be the angry one but not me?"

They didn't return to school that day, and even if the school informed their parents, they weren't angry about it, because they cared about their child's happiness.

☆彡

A few months have passed since Soorin and Jihoon confessed to each other in a hurried way. It was now Jihoon's birthday, May 5.

Soorin had planned out a perfect way to surprise Jihoon, and with the help of her friends and family, it was a success.

Soorin made Jihoon think that she had forgotten his birthday, which resulted in Jihoon practically crying through text when in reality, Soorin remembers (she would obviously be a bad friend/girlfriend if she actually forgot his birthday after seventeen years of friendship). Soorin asked Jihoon's mother if she could take him out for an hour to get everything ready, and of course, she agreed.

Mrs. Lee made up an excuse of needing Jihoon to help her buy stuff in the grocery store, and of course, him being a good kid agrees to go out. Even if Mrs. Lee wanted to tell Jihoon about the surprise Soorin was planning, she couldn't; she could never spoil the surprise just because Jihoon looks sad.

As soon as they arrived back home, the lights were dark, just like how Jihoon had left it, but what changed was the formation of his whole kitchen. He furrowed his eyebrows, ready to attack whoever was hiding in his house when the lights turned back on and his whole classmate jumped out from where they were hiding.

"SURPRISE! Happy birthday, Jihoon!" everyone yells, holding out different kidneys of gifts in their hands. Soorin was standing in the middle of everything, holding the biggest present compared to everyone else.

Jihoon's bottom lip trembled as tears start gathering in his eyes. Soorin quickly notices and gives him a soft smile, walking towards him. She places the present on top of a table, hugging Jihoon tightly.

"I-I can't believe I f-fell for your lies!" Jihoon whines, his face buried into Soorin's neck.

Soorin giggles. "Well, I had to lie to get this party ready, otherwise it'll be no fun if you knew about this," still, Jihoon didn't lift his head from Soorin's neck, and instead stayed there for a few minutes as everyone else sat down, talking amongst themselves. "Ji? Hey, stop-" when Soorin peers down, she hears soft snores coming from his mouth. "I can't believe he's actually sleeping right now. How the hell is he doing this?"

She eventually manages to wake Jihoon up after failing five times.

Their relationship went smoothly as time goes on, and they could never trade it for anything else in the world, especially since they love each other way too much.

"Hey, Rin," Jihoon mumbles one night as they were cuddling during a movie night. "I love you a lot, and I'm really grateful that I have you in my life."

Soorin giggles. "What's with the sudden sappy moment?" she looks up, seeing a frown on Jihoon's face. "I'm just kidding, Ji. I love you too, remember that. Also, please don't change, okay? I love you for who you are."

"I pinky promise, Rin," Jihoon says, sticking out his pinky finger, and Soorin links her own to his.
