Prince Ibrahim Was the son of Kosem Sultan and Ahmed Sultan the first.He was the youngest child, being born just a few minutes after his twin sister Atike. His life which seemed so luxurious at first was mired with tragedy. When he was just a year old His father died under mysterious disease that was caused by poison. Sultan Ahmet's death threw the empire into chaos.
The law of fratricide which gives the reigning Sultan the right to execute his brothers for the stability of his reign, had only just been abolished and was still a great threat.
At first his uncle Mustafa took the throne but his mental instability caused him to be pulled off of it. Then his older brother Osman became sultan but within a few years he had angered the janissaries and got brutally murdered. Mustafa mother Halime Sultan was able to put her son back on the throne but only for a few months.
Ibrahim remembers all the chaos it is ingrained in his soul. Even though happier days were ahead of him, the fear and paranoia would never truly leave the little boy's mind. When he was about four his older brother, murad at just 11 years old, became the sultan with his mother kosem as Regent.
As the years passed and Ibrahim grew he became more aware of his world. Sometimes nightmares would haunt him of The Executioner's coming for him and his brothers. But other times he would dream of a happy life with friends and family.
One day while he was visiting a Statesman with his older brother the sultan he fell dangerously ill. A concubine, soon to be his brother's favorite, saved him from the brink of death and returned him to full health. Sanavber would turn out to be a Persian spy and In Cahoots with Prince bayezid supporters. Ibrahim was informed of this by another woman and In Murads harem, Rosa Hutan.
Within a few months of meeting Rosa, ibrahim had fallen deeply in love. She was the one who finally gave him peace in his mind and in his heart, but fear still clung to his soul.
It was for this love that broke Ibrahim's cycle of apathy towards all his brother's actions. He would obey his brother's and mother's commands with absolute devotion, but now he finally had a reason to act out of his own will. Consequences be damned.
