It was the middle of the day in Lumen City when I was notified of the bank robbery. "It's just a few robbers armed with normal weapons. Don't worry too much." I recalled Lily telling me.

No worries at all. I repeated. They would be an easy catch and finish off my crime-busting during my suspension to be at a total of 537 crimes prevented.

I weaved between alleyways as I ran to the eastern part of town where the robbery had been reported. The grimy ally came to an end but I wasted no time jumping up and vaulting off of the building walls surrounding me until I got to the roof.

"I'm going way too slow," I grumbled. There had to be a quicker way through this neighborhood district.

That was when the voice in my head that I had come to know as Unity spoke up. "Mr. Avian, sir. If you could catch that approaching Skyrail Car we would be able to reach the crime zone much faster!"

Unity had been around ever since I had battled Lycitor and I had gotten to know her quite well since then. She was some sort of guide meant to help me master my "Elemental Power." Which was likely the white energy attacks I could create by focusing myself.

My eyes were subconsciously drawn to a series of train cars speeding over the roadway, dangling from some kind of a magnetic track.

I took my staff from the sling on my back and held it in my right hand. The sturdy wood seemed to be made specially with me in mind.

I waited for the Skyrail to get a bit closer and spun myself around, focusing my thoughts on the spell I was about to cast.

I touched the staff to the stone and as I did I shouted the phrase. "ICE FLOOR!" The roof froze over in a thin layer of ice. I jumped onto the slope and slid down the roof.

Aided by the icy coating, I was thrown up and over the street. I went high into the air and landed on top of one of the cars. Perfect!

"Excellent work, Mr. Avian!" Unity praised. While her voice was very robotic and monotone she still managed to convey her excitement quite well.

I sped over the city and took a look out at the metropolis before me. Buildings of all kinds made up the massive city. Shops, corporations, homes, everything could be found in the massive city.

A giant river cut through part of the city, inconveniently dividing any area without a bridge. Some of the great minds had come up with creative solutions but nothing seemed to work perfectly.

I peered at the giant building in the center of the city I knew as Soulwielder Corporation. My home away from home for the last six months and the hub for all realm-based travel.

The Skyrail made its way into the eastern district where most of the upper-class citizens lived. I scanned the area but the wind blowing in my face made it difficult.

I leaped down from the Skyrail Car and used a water spell to slow my descent and save my legs from extreme pain.

It was a fairly nice day and I had just gotten on patrol after going for a run so I was dressed in a tracksuit. My hair was now messily awry after my windy raid on the train and I couldn't be bothered to fix it.

I heard sirens from not far away and saw a car speed down an intersection up ahead, soon followed by several police vehicles.

I hurried down the parallel street in hopes of cutting them off. People stared at me and cars came to a stop when they saw me running by.
