It took me a little while... What am I saying?! It took me a long while to come up with this second chapter, but here it is! More explanation at the end of this chapter.

Chapter 2. You Were As Calm As The Moon Itself

I wandered the hallways after my last period, looking for my little brother. A group of boys rounded the corner just a little before I did. "Ario?" The boy in the middle stopped and the others kept going.

I sighed in relief. "I've been looking for you." He shrugged. "Okay, what do you want?" I walked closer to him, crossing my arms in front of my chest casually. "I just wondered if you'd want to walk home together."

"Sure." He accompanied me to the exit of the school where Shirley was waiting for me. "Ow, are you one of the Scotts?" I nodded to her. She came closer to me. "Mind if I join you? I'm heading the same direction." I motioned her to follow and asked her why she walked.

She told us about how she missed the bus by taking too long at her locker and her parents aren't home to come and get her. Halfway there her way parted of ours to a street perpendicular on the way we were going. "I'll see you tomorrow Diana, take care and don't let them get to you."

"What is she talking about?" Ario asked me, looking at me worriedly. "Is it okay if I tell you at home?" He nodded understandingly. He sensed something was too wrong to spill out her in the open on the streets where everyone can hear us.

At home I slumped down in the loveseat, burying myself in the pillows. I felt Ario sit down on the edge next to me and placing his hand on my arm. He rubbed it until I sighed and reached for my bag. I pulled the body and head out and handed it to him. "But I don't get it, why are you showing me this?"

"You see, you just don't observe." He sighed. "You've watched too much Sherlock, care to elaborate what happened?" I told him about DanDan and 'Captain Douglas'. "Wait, Danial the captain of the football team and Douglas the schools badboy?"

"I guess, what else do you know about them?" He thought deep with his index finger placed on the dimple in his chin, he did that ever so often. "Hmm, not much, just that they are your age and they cause quite some trouble." I propped myself up in a half sitting position. "Nothing I hadn't guessed already. Are they friends?"

He stood up to get us some drinks and snacks. "Not that I know of, it would be terrible for the whole school if they were." I nodded and I turned 90 degrees to make some place for Ario to sit next to me when he returned.

But when he did, he had a tray with two glasses and small plate with chocolate bonbons in one hand and a basket in the other. What it contained, I couldn't see. "Here, you eat this chocolaty goodness and enjoy this apple juice while I repair your teddy."

"You can do that? Thank you so much!" I hugged him and he laughed while hugging back. "Yes, but please do not tell anyone."

30 minutes, a repaired teddy and an empty tray later we went upstairs, both to our own room to make some homework before mom and dad came home for dinner. I was done early and decided to check if my real mom or dad were out there somewhere.

I settled myself crossed-legged on my bed, hands on my knees, back straight and eyes closed. I breathed deep and I felt myself slip away from my body into a world that wasn't there yet felt so real. I wandered around in the valley, searching for one my parents. When I heard something rustle behind me and turned around I saw a dark figure blend into the shadows of a nearby cave. I decided to not pay it much more attention and walked further to where I was going.
