|Y/N'S POV| I'm sitting by the fire place alone watching the flames spark each time listening to the girls brag about there Yule ball date, I finally got up and headed to the great hall for dinner looking very sad with dark bags under my eyes I was barely eating any food it didn't take long for someone to notice "y/n you alright your haven't touched your food" George whispered, I look over at him and nod giving a weak smile staring down at the table it was obvious he knew I wasn't okay but left me alone, as dinner ended I was walking past a room and stopped slowly walking back peaking into the room to find Cho and Harry talking only picking up something about the Yule ball I stood on the outside of the door in shock as tears welled up in my eyes remembering my long time crush on Harry since second year and ran to the Gryffindor common room and ran into the dorm I share with Hermione granger but she wasn't there so I locked the door with the colloportus spell and bawled my eyes out, when I finished crying I went to sleep remembering Harry asking Cho to the Yule ball.
|HARRY'S POV| Throughout all yesterday I realized y/n wasn't anywhere to be found half the day so I walked into the common room only to spot a small girl still getting ready for the day but I could obviously see the hint of sadness in her eyes and the slightly redness which kinda hurt my heart because I used to have a crush her since third year but I highly doubt she likes me, "y/n are you alright" I asked genuinely concerned "oh- I'm yeah I'm brilliant thank you Harry" she replied with a faint fake smile making me frown, she was about to walk away until I pulled her arm back "please tell me" I whispered she sighed and rubbed her thumb over my knuckles and chuckled "I like you Harry.....since second year"she said looking down at our hands "oh-brilliant" I almost yelled happily "what are you on about Potter?" She whisper yelled at this point she was very adorable as I never really examined her facial structure she looked like a pixie mixed with angel not even realized I was so unfocused I went straight and kissed her on the lips looking shocked, she looked me into my eyes with fear and disappointment "no Harry this is wrong, your with Cho" she said about to cry "wha- love I went to Cho to ask her for advise on how to ask you to the Yule ball and bloody hell ive a crush on you since third year" I said grinning from ear to ear I noticed the faint blush rise to her cheeks so I pulled another bold move and softly kissed her

"Y/n L/n would you do me the honor and go to the Yule ball with me" I said proudly "of course I will Harry"she smiled back kissing my cheek before walking off to class I held my cheek and whispered "my father would be proud" smiling "yes....yes I am son"
