Cooperation

YiLong has been unconscious for a week. When he tries to open his eyes, he could already hear FuSheng's voice calling him. It takes a while before YiLong could blink open his eyes to see a white ceiling, then a familiar young face pokes into his field of vision blocking the ceiling. However, it's not the normally lively one. FuSheng's face is filled with worries, the rim of his eyes are red.

In his current state, YiLong hasn't remember what happened. Therefore, he lies there unmoving and only blinking from time to time. Slowly, the memories flow back to him.

'Bai Yu is dead ... it hurts ... I took some pills.' YiLong puts the events in sequence and realizes that he has unintentionally did a stupid thing which probably hurts his son's heart.

" ... sorry ..." YiLong does his best to apologize to FuSheng but no voice comes out.

"Don't say anything for now, we can talk about it later. Let's focus on recovering, okay mama-Long? You need to become healthy again, okay?" FuSheng is happy to see that YiLong has finally woken up which brings him to tears. As of now, he only wishes for YiLong to fully recover, therefore, he's practically pleading as he ask him those questions.

No doubt that the intended messages has been received. YiLong throat is too dry to say anything, so he nods as an answer for his anxiously waiting son. Although, strength hasn't return much, YiLong lifts his hand which FuSheng quickly takes into his own and presses it against his cheek.

When YiLong has recover up to a certain level, FuSheng would put his head on YiLong's lap as the pair talks to one another and Hei Qi would also be there to keep an eye on them. However, today there are other guests that drop in for a visit.

"How are you feeling Shen Wei?" Shen Le asks as he approaches the empty side of the bed.

To be honest, YiLong only remembers that he has found his real father when he sees Shen Le enter the room. Somehow, he has forgotten about this person which is consider relatively strange for him because he always gives priority to his family before anyone else. Just like the way Bai Yu has always put YiLong as his most important.

"Mr. Shen, mama-Long has been in the hospital for over a week. It took you quite a long time to pay a visit." FuSheng pretends to be an innocent boy yet dripping with sarcasm while asking such question in which YiLong doesn't seem to mind.

"I was very busy with work. I'm so sorry ah-Wei. I've failed as a father." Shen Le apologizes with a sad expression.

"Don't think too much about it Mr. Shen. It wasn't anything serious." YiLong comforts.

"Thank you, ah-Wei. And I'm glad that you are looking better. Just forget everything and start again." Shen Le cheers up his son but the words somehow stab those who listen.

"Excuse me, what are you asking mama-Long to forget?" FuSheng asks and gives Shen Le an angry glare. "I hope that you don't mean for him to forget my papa-Bai and marry someone else."

"If remembering puts ah-Wei in pain, I think he should forget whatever it is that makes him feel like that." Shen Le refutes with his perfect reasoning. "I, myself, has went through such process when my wife died."

"Mr. Shen ... you're such a strong person to be able to do such thing. Otherwise, I would've thought that you've never lost someone you love or that you've never really loved anyone." FuSheng admires Shen Le out loud while he doubts the love between Shen Le and his wife.

In the far corner of the room, Zhao XinCi praises the young FuSheng in his heart. Without much knowledge of Shen Le, he was able to tell that this man doesn't really love anyone. Although, Zhao XinCi has worked under Shen Le for only 10 years, he still heard of the stories before he joined which also includes the story of the madam.
