(23) "I Don't Know You."

A month later 

Bucky and the gang was out at the local diner eating dinner when Nikki came in with both girls. It had been her day off but she had the girls at daycare so she could get errands done. She had Zara in a baby wearing device who was fussy and Saylor holding her hand. 

She was bouncing and shushing Zara as she picked up their order. Bucky seen her as she started leave. When he saw Emily was caught up in her conversation with the girls he told he he thought he forgot his wallet in the car. 

When he came outside he saw her with a white camaro. 

"I know your tired Zara baby.. but shh.." she said as she Zara continued to cry. 

"Here sissy here is your elephant.." Saylor said as she found her a toy with a pacifier on it. 

Nikki was about to get the milkshakes off the car when she heard. 

"Nikki.." 

She turned to see who said her name. When she saw Bucky the memory of him screaming at her that he wished that they never were together ran through her head.

"I don't know you.." she said 

"Nikki I deserve that.." he said 

"Leave me alone I don't know you okay.." she said as she got in car and left. 

Bucky took a deep breathe and went back inside. 

"Did you find it?" Emily said 

"Yeah I did. It fell under my seat." He said as he started to eat his banana split. 

A few days later she seen them all at the preschool center meeting their teachers and getting school supply lists. The girls seen her as she was leaving. 

"Nikki wait up.." Nat said 

Bucky watched as she continued to ignore them. 

"Nikki.." Yelena said 

"I don't know you all so please leave me alone." She said as she put the girls in her car and left.

"She does know us..why is she acting like this?" Bobbi said 

"Maybe we should talk to her mom. Maybe Nikki amensia." Hope said 

"But she knew Emily at the grocery store.." Bucky said as he and the boys joined the group. 

"Oh yeah I forgot about that.." Carol said 

They all went over to her mom's house. 

"If you all are here to see Nikki she doesn't live here anymore she has her own place." Alex said 

"We came to talk to you.." Nat said 

"Oh..well then come on in." She said 

She poured everyone some iced tea as they all took a seat. 

"Why did you all want to talk to me?" She said 

"Why is Nikki acting like she doesn't know us. Bucky seen her a few nights ago she said she didn't know him and today happened the same way except for with us at the preschool center." Natasha said 

"You all are shitty ass friends. To put it bluntly you are. Nikki made a mistake and all of you made her life hell. It's okay to get mad and give opinions when a friend does something wrong. But you all picked sides and she was left alone. Twice you girls didn't stand by her and say you know what I may not like it but I'll stand here and support you. And as far as you go James you told her that you wish that you two never dated. She loved you and she made a stupid mistake..she's had a hellacious year between losing Hudson last year and now her soon to be ex husband has a skiing accident last Christmas and ripped their marriage apart. She's pushing you all away cause that's all you have done to her. She told me when she was going to invite you all to the wedding that if you didn't accept it that she was cutting her losses." Alex said 

They all looked down. 

"I hope that answers all your questions." She said as she stood up 

They all left feeling worse then when they went in. Bucky went on to the store to get what Ashlynn needed for preschool as well as what Sienna needed for school as well. Emily had been put on bed rest the day before due to blood pressure problems.
