Chapter 6

POV: Luna Lovegood

While sitting at the Ravenclaw table waiting for the other kids to be sorted, I think about my sister. Is this really happening!? It's so amazing! I can't believe Lily and I got to go to Hogwarts. I wonder what Lillian's think about. We are always supposed to be with each other. I look behind me to see no one else shocked that Lillian is a Hufflepuff. As I see Lillian walk to the table her face looks disappointed.

I look up and recognize one of the girls faces. I squint my eyes to get a closer look. Who is that? I think, feeling as though I knew her from somewhere.

"Cho Chang," McGonagall says as Cho walked up to the chair and sat down.

"Right then, Ravenclaw!" The hat yelled, everyone, well mainly the Ravenclaws cheered. Cho sat next to me; she was quiet so I decided to start the conversation.

"Hi Cho, my name is Luna," I say trying to start the conversation.

"Hi? How do you know my name"? Cho asks like she didn't know that the professor called her name during the sorting.

"Now the first years have been sorted the feast may begin," Professor Dumbledore said as he clapped his hands and food appeared on the tables.

"Wow, that looks good," I said as I smell the food. I couldn't believe what was on the table. A whole roasted chicken, corn, and so many more delicious dishes. After the feast our prefect led us to the common room. When we walked out of the great hall, I could see this massive staircase.

"This is the direct path to the Ravenclaw common room, follow me," the prefect said as he began walking up the stairs. As I walk walking up that stairs there were paintings along the walls that we moving! Am I dreaming? I think as I look at each of them slowly.

"Welcome to the Ravenclaw common room," the prefect says as he opens waves his hand gesturing us in. This is so beautiful I think, walking inside. The walls are covered with blue and there is a warm fire in the corner.

"Upstairs you will find all your belongings have already been brought up," He says as he shows us around. I walk up the stairs leading to the girl's dorm. As I open the door and walk inside, I don't know what to expect. I see 4 girls already inside. As I look around for my things, I recognize one of the girls faces.

"Cho!?" I say point at the black-haired girl.

"Hi, Luna is it?" Cho says in an unsure voice. That night we all introduce ourselves. As I get into my bed, I start to daydream about what tomorrow will be like.
