"Three listen to me" eighteen pleaded

"No I can't just sit here while he could be out there. I don't care if six made it a rule. I would rather die knowing that I tried then living my life regretting that I didn't" I snapped

I had woken up an hour ago and found out that twelve was no where to be found. Something inside of me was drawing me towards the forest. Eighteen (who I was searching for twelve with) is telling me that six has made it a strict rule that no one goes into that forest during the day at any cost. Me being my nosy self wants to know why, but unfortunately none other than six know and he's not telling, and I'm not going anywhere near fifteen after his mood I received waking up beside him.

"There is no way I can talk you out of this is there?" Eighteen said

"No I'm going and I don't care what you say"

"What if I told you to sit for five minutes while I pack us a bag?"

"Us?"

"I can't just sit here while you could be out there" he mocked me teasingly "I would rather die knowing that I accompanied you then to live my life regretting that I didn't"

"Five minutes smartass"

"It's all I need sweetheart" he said throwing me a wink and taking off down the long dirt road.

My gaze flicked to fifteens tree house. Standing there staring at me with the dirtiest look he could muster was fifteen himself. I returned the glare for no reason in particular other than the reason of him giving me one.

"Whoa sweetheart" eighteen cut in "what did you do to him, he looks pissed"

"I haven't done anything, ready?" I asked

"We just gotta stop past the river and fill up the bottles"

"The water is safe to drink straight from the river?"

"Yeah it's really helpful not having to boil it and all that jazz; you can just go up dip your cup in and drink"

We walked down the dirt path, I was excited to finally the river properly, and I never saw it when six was showing me around. He basically focused on the crops. As we got closer the louder the sound of rushing water got, gooseflesh broke out all over my body with the noise just getting louder. You could now smell the fresh water and feel the cool breeze it carried. My black hair lightly blew in the wind.

"Here we are" he said knelling down to fill the bottle.

The river wasn't a natural river where you had it curves, bents, rises, and falls. It wasn't littered with rocks that would break the current. The river was just a concrete hole in the ground. The whole hole went down the length of the arena and the current was violent, very violent. It just flowed from east to west. The water its self was very clear, you could just see the bottom of the concrete prism. The depth of the river was very deep, deep enough that an average person would run out of breath before hitting the bottom.

"Ready?" he asked handing me a bottle

"Yeah" I said slightly disappointed

"You okay?" he asked

"Yeah I'm fine, where do we start?"

"Think we should start over there" he said pointing in the direction of the area where someone's greatest desire would be "and work our way down"

"Sounds good" I say staring to walk

"Hold up, there is one problem" eighteen said pulling me back

"What?" I whispered suddenly leaning in close

Eighteen leaned in more so we were inches apart before whispering "we have to run, so six doesn't see us"
