Meeting pt.2

Roc

Me and the team met up with eachother before going into the building.

"Wassup Roc" Ray said shoving me then held his hand out for a shake.

"Wassup you know what this meeting is about?"

-"whatever it's about I hope it doesn't take all day me and Kim got plans today!" Prince said cutting in.

"Yea and I gotta get back to Mya crazy ass!"

"Yea I noticed Mya was crazy a while back!" E.J said. I didn't even bother to acknowledge his comment.

We walked in the building and to the conference room where the meeting was being held. We all took a seat wherever one was available. I sat with my crazy friend Jackie.

"Wassup jackieO? You know anything about this meeting!?" I asked eager to know. She looked at me with a koolaid smile and shook her head no, I thought it was kind of weird but whatev!

I looked over across the table to see Eric mugging me hard! "Aye Eric" i called to him.

"What Roc!?" He replied causing me and the crew to laugh. "Fix your face, why you mugging man!?" I said still laughing a little. Right after that boss man walked in.

"Good Morning crew, I know you are wondering why we called this meeting today right? Well, I'm going to get straight to it. We had a meeting yesterday about who we think should lead the group. We debated on if it should be Roc, or the new guy E.J. he said walking around the table then sitting at the far end. All of the members looked at eachother then back at boss man.

"E.J, you're fresh new and single the girls would love you but, you're just now getting here and it's a lot you need to learn and especially with a job such as leading the team may be a bit much for you to handle. It's times like this that makes us appreciate the originals!." Jackie said as she looked him square in his eyes. Then looked at the rest of the crew (the originals).

"Roc! You're a team player. You've been carrying the team without a title every since what's his face left and you've been doing a damn good Job at it. The only thing that would hurt the team is you having a girlfriend. We're not getting into your personal life we all see and know how you feel about Mon. Now we are not trying to get you to end your relationship with her."

If Jackie wasn't as cool with us like she was, i would have cursed her out but I know she was just doing her job and keeping it real with both of us.

Boss Man*

"Ok here's the thing. We've been made our decision before the meeting was even held. We just wanted to see where you guys Maturity levels were at. I must admit you guys have grown well." He then paused and looked at me.

"Royal I must admit... you've got a rider for a girlfriend and I've got a loyal partner. Monica was willing to lose her job over this debate for you. I told her she was not allowed to speak because you guys have relations and she spoke anyway." He said laughing causing us all to laugh. "But at the same time she never told you what was said in this meeting knowing how she felt about you. Her loyalty showed yesterday for both her career and you!"

"Please know that the decision that was made here was out of our experience and you guys. With that being said Roc, congratulations you are now officially the lead singer of Mindless Behavior!" Jackie said with excitement as Eric looked on with a mad face.

I thanked everyone as my boys (Ray and Prince) cheered me on. I looked over at Eric he was salty lol "aye Eric! You mad bro?" I said jokingly but I was so serious. "Congrats Roc!" E.J said as he gave me a fist pound. "Thanks". I couldn't wait to get home to tell Mon the good news. My baby stood up for a nigga, risked her job and still managed to keep her cool through it all! Yea she's a keeper!😊
