First Impressions

((Y/F/N)'s POV)
"So what was so bad that happened to make you want to go to your study?" I asked James. He looked at me confused. "I know you only go to your study if something happened." "He had a council meeting not too long before you arrived, Miss (Y/L/N)-I mean (Y/F/N)." Winter told me. While we were walking he told me about the council meeting. "That sounds mentally painful." I said. "I sear if I have to sit through one more council meeting like that." "Yay, you're here." I hear Penny say. I look to see the others in handcuffs. "What the-" I muttered. "Winter." Weiss says. "Anyone wanna give us a hand with these?" Nora says. I smiled a bit. "You have 10 seconds to take those off, before I start hurting you." Winter says to the guards. I was trying so hard not to laugh as they panickily started undoing the handcuffs. "Please, come in. (Y/F/N), you may go catch up with your brother." "Thank you." I said and went to find Clover. I find him with the rest of the Ace Ops. "So how did everything go?" "Just caught some unauthorized people in a stolen ship." "Ah, I see-wait." I put two and two together and facepalm. "Clo, I was on that ship. They don't mean harm. I mean, team RWBY was on it." "Wait, the girls Penny always talks about?" "That's the one." Not to mention, everyone's first impression of my brother is that. "James told you all about the relics, right?" "Yeah, so?" Marrow asked. "So, they had the relic of knowledge." "Wait, that lamp I gave to the General?" "So it got to James?" I sigh in relief. "You guys better apologize to them because I was with them the whole time getting back and we fought hard to get here." I said jokingly stern. "Yeah, of course. Still, I think we'd like to hear what happened." Clover said. I explained to him how we got here. "Wow, sis. That sounds pretty rough. And you were out cold when Grimm attacked Argus?" "Apparently. What a great princess of Argus I am, huh?" "It's not your fault that you're fragile." Marrow reassured me. I rolled my eyes. "Gee, thanks and how many times did you get banned, again?" I ask with a sly smirk on my face. He sighed. "A lot." "You know, I don't think she's heard the stories." Harriet said slyly. "Oh, you know what? I haven't. Please tell." I say playing along. I already knew the stories, but it's still funny to hear them. "That was the second time I got banned. Then there was the third time when-" "Alright cut the chatter." Clover said all professional all of a sudden. I look over. Oh, that's why. "I'd like to sincerely apologize for the miscommunication down in Mantle, we didn't intend to-" Clover's apology was cut of by Elm being Elm with being over excited and all. He and I look surprised but I was also not surprised. "I feel so bad honestly!" She started shaking Ruby's hand....a little too roughly. "If we had known who you were we'd be laughing over a hot meal right now and-" "I understand, you were just following orders." Ruby says clearly dizzy. "I mean, you could have asked some questions first." Weiss says. Well, yeah she has a point. "Questions are for the weak, but we're all on the same team now. Not that I'm happy about it." We hear a tail wag. It's Marrow's. He quickly grabs it so it would stop. Harriet holds in her laughter. "We just wanted to say we're sorry and that we're looking forward to working with you on our next mission. You might be students, but you've been fighting just as hard as we have. If not, harder." Clover says. "I can testify for that." I pop in. "Yeah, exactly why I'm looking forward to seeing what you kids can do." "Ugh, not everything is a competition, Hare." Vine tells Harriet. Penny pops up out of nowhere. Marrow and I seemed to be the only ones that were surprised. "C'mon, let me show you around campus." She said as she let the others. I notice Qrow was way behind them. "(Y/F/N)? C'mon, I've been dying for some of your home cooking again." Elm says grabbing my arm away. "What's on the menu tonight?" I ask smiling as I'm being dragged. "Just some ramen, nothing too fancy. Think you can handle that?" "You kidding? This is (Y/F/N) (Y/L/N) you're talking to. Providing meals since I've been here!" I said flashing a confident smile and a thumbs up. "I assume I know where to find you guys when it's ready?" "Other than out on missions, yep." "Awesome! You're the best." I started getting to the kitchen and hummed as I looked in the pantry and fridge for ingredients. I'm finally home so I don't care if the first thing I do is cook. "Hm, I should make extra for the others too." I said out loud to myself. I got all the ingredients I needed and started cooking. "Excuse me." "AH!" I yelped. I looked behind me. "P-Penny! I didn't see you there." I said surprised. "Oh, are you making meals for everyone?" "Yep. Oh, while you're here, where are everyone's rooms?" "I am glad you ask. I have created a map of where everyone is staying." She gives me the map. "Thank you Penny. Can I help you with anything else?" "Nope. I just thought you'd like to know where everyone was." "Well, alright. Thank you, Penny." I continued making everyone's meals. I assume everyone else is tired so I'll make theirs first. After cooking, I decided to distribute bowls to everyone's rooms. I walked to team RWBY's room and knocked on the door. "It's open." I heard and walked in. "I thought you guys might be hungry and-" I hear Ruby squeal. "Food!" "Thank you so much, (Y/F/N)." "It looks delicious." "You can leave the bowls outside when you're done." I told them. "Ok, thank you." I went to the room where Jaune, Ren, Nora, and Oscar were staying in. I barely go to the door when I heard Nora yell, "I smell food!" As she opens the door and sees me. "So you wake up for food." Ren said. "Heh, well, here you go." I said with a smile. She snatched the food from me and goes back in. "Thank you so much." I hear Oscar yell to me. Well, at least they got their food. I walk to the room Qrow was staying. I wonder if he likes ramen. I thought to myself and took my chances. I knocked, but no answer. I noticed it's open slightly. I open it a bit and I don't see him inside. Maybe he's with James. I go to where James would be. I didn't see either one in the headmaster's office or even his study. I need to give the Ace Ops their food before it gets cold. I go to the Ace Ops lounge room. I find not only the Ace Ops but James and Qrow. "Oh, I didn't know you two were in here." I said as everyone looked at me. Elm ran up to me. "I knew I smelled something good." "Well, here ya go. Yours is the one with...each kind of meat. Just how you like it." "Yes." She said as she drooled a bit. "Thanks." She said as she took her bowl and went to sit down. I went over to sit down with them. "Well, eat up. I have a bowl for everyone. Even you two." I said looking at James and Qrow. Everyone got their bowls. "Hey (Y/F/N)? How come you don't have a bowl?" Harriet asked me. I thought for a second. I immediately stood up. "Ah, I left it in the kitchen. I'll go get it." "Alright, hurry back sis." Clover told me as I left.
(Qrow's POV)
"Sis?" I asked. "Oh, that's right. You wouldn't have known. This is Clover Ebi. (Y/F/N)'s brother." James said to me. I was surprised. This guy's her brother? "Yeah, you'd never believe it just by seeing them but it's true." One of the other Ace Ops, I believe Marrow was his name, said to me. Then I realize something. "You have different last names." "She most likely mentioned that our parents died, right? Well, when they did, we decided that one of us can keep each last name. Ebi was our mother's last name and (Y/L/N) was our father's." Clover said. "Let me guess, we look nothing alike." He added. "Eh, even my sister and I don't look alike." "Sorry again about earlier in Mantle." "It just would've been nice to know that I was gonna meet (Y/F/N)'s brother. She talks an awful lot about you you know." "I bet she has. Let's start over. Name's Clover Ebi." He said taking his out out to shake. "Qrow." I said. We then see (Y/F/N) come back inside. "Oh good, you two have officially met." After everyone ate, they went to their own rooms. I noticed (Y/F/N) go back to the kitchen. I decided to follow her. I see her get the rest of the empty bowls on the way. Let me guess, she's the one that ends up washing them. I thought to myself. I get to the kitchen to see her already get started washing the bowls and I hear her humming a bit. There we so many bowls, there's no way she could do that alone. 
((Y/F/N)'s POV)
I'm humming a song to myself as I wash dishes. "Hey." I heard. It surprised me so I naturally jumped. What's up with people doing that? "Oh, hi Qrow. You surprised me." "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." "Is there anything I can help you with?" "Actually, there's something I want to help you with." He gestures to the dishes. "I appreciate it, but you don't have to. Really." "You're not gonna sleep til much later if I don't help." I sighed in defeat. I admit I am tired myself. "Ok, you can help." "So what song were you humming to?" He asked. My face instantly started burning up. "Oh you heard that, huh? It was just something I came up with on my own. It's not a specific song." It was silent for a bit, then I had to ask something. "How come you wanted to help me, aren't you worried about your semblance?" "Of course I am, but I couldn't let you do all this on your own. Plus, you were the one who made the meals for everyone, I thought it was only fair." I'm not sure why, but this made me really happy. I smiled. "You know, most of the time I wouldn't get help, Not because they don't want to help, but they get so busy and I end up doing it on my own. Plus I'm used to doing this stuff on my own. It just makes me happy that someone helps. So thank you." I said smiling at him. 
(Clover's POV)
I went to the kitchen because I wanted to help my sister. I always feel bad that I'm not there to help her as I should be. I was about to enter the kitchen then I saw Qrow helping her instead. They seem to be talking but I'm too far away to hear. I see Qrow smile at her. I know that kind of smile, that's the kind of smile someone would have if they're in love. Even (Y/F/N)'s usual smile is turning into that smile. I had a feeling that but didn't want to jump to conclusions. Not that I don't approve of him. I just want to make sure he doesn't hurt her. I smiled. I can tell he makes her happy. I went back to my room.
~~A while later~~
((Y/F/N)'s POV)
"Thank you again for helping me out." I said to Qrow on the way back to our rooms. "Don't worry about it. It's not a huge deal." He told me. "It is to me, and I really appreciate it." I smiled. I haven't been able to stop smiling recently. Why is that? I guess I'm grateful. We stop as we get to my room. I quickly hugged him and went to room. "Good night." i said. I don't know why but my heart was beating fast as I did that. I don't like Qrow, do I? What if all the time I admired him was really just a secret crush I was actually hiding? The more I thought about it, the more my face went red. I decided to go to sleep. Maybe it'll make sense in the morning.
