Infected Octonauts AU

Chapter 8

  

     You leave Ozzy behind & ran out the Garden from the infected Veggies before you also end up getting caught. You ran as fast as you could from the scene but while you were running, your hallucinations get worse. You keep seeing more of the Octonauts but uninfected appearing & disappearing.
"No No No NO! SNAP OUT OF IT ALREADY!!! THIS ISN'T EVEN REAL!!! THIS IS ALL JUST AN ILLUSION!!!!!" You yelled

Finally, you have ran to the bathroom where you were hiding from earlier & broke down once again.
"Why is this all happening to me? This is worse than I thought! This is all just so twisted... so wrong... I can't do this anymore.... I want to quit..." you said

You cried until you looked up when you saw a flash.
There. Right there standing right in front of you was the Captain.
"Captain..." you said as you shed a tear
"Y/N, What's wrong?" Asked the Captain
"What's wrong? Everything." You said
"Why do you say that?"
"This is all too overwhelming for me! Too overwhelming that- I-I just feel like I want to give up... I'm sorry, Captain... I guess I failed you..."

"Y/N, I understand that you are upset, but you can't give up.
Don't you remember what you've been doing with us as an Octonaut? Just like the day when you were found, you helped creatures big and small from danger. It was really noble of you for doing that.
Not only that, after you joined us, we've seen you did many good things for the ocean because you had the courage, bravery, & loyalty to be able to do them. There are times when things are hard, but you're not in this alone because we're here for you. Even that we may not be around for you, we know that you can do it. You're a really good Octonaut! Why do you want to give up now?"

You have thought to yourself of what the Captain had told you.
"Y-you're right, Captain... I'm not going to quit because I can't let situations like this drag me down of who I am." You told the Captain
"Right! That's the Y/N we know and love!" Said the Captain
"Thank you..." You said & gave a soft smile
Captain puts his paw on your shoulder & told you, "Remember, Y/N... we're all counting on you. You can do this. Just trust yourself..."
At that moment, The Captain once again disappears in a flash.

You wiped away your tears, got your flashlight, & unlocked the door because you now know what to do. You made sure that the close was clear for you to exit the room.
As you stepped out of the room, you told yourself, "Brace yourself..."

You went back to the launch bay to Twee's Hardware room because you had an idea. You headed to check inside the electric box but most of the wires were broken. Luckily, there was the Octopod Manual book on a desk so you can use to fix the power. You also had to be very careful if an infected Octonaut comes or you'll end up getting caught & die. You tried to at least block the entrance from the infected Octonauts with crates & barrels around the Hardware room. You did hear a lot of faint noises around the launch bay but you tried not to freak out.

Moments later, you have finally got the power working! With that done, You headed back to bloody HQ. You tried not pay attention that right now because you have keep going to what you need to do. You were about to head to a computer until...

The Infected Captain comes in pushing you away from the computers & starts to choke you. You tried to escape from him but the Captain's grip was too strong that he's not going to let you go.
"Captain... this is not you... you're more better than this..." you tell him

"He's better than who he is now?" Said another voice
You have never heard that voice before. It didn't sound like an Octonaut at all but it sounded pretty horrific. The Captain also stopped choking you after hearing that voice from whoever it is. You & the Captain looked from behind & that's when you saw IT.
You couldn't believe in what you had just seen...
