It's seven a.m., after snoozing the alarm a few times Jane decided that it was finally time to get up and get ready to go to “Idiotland”, like Tam would say if anyone asked her what school she went to. After a quick shower she put on a pair of skinny jeans and a white tank top, when she reached out for her black converse she cought a glimpse of herself in the mirror, she hated being trapped in her body, she was short and didn't have any curves, the only thing that she considered pretty about herself was her redish hair. A knock on the door interrupted her thoughts...
“Jane!” She could hear her uncle from the other side of the door. “I'm leaving, if you want a ride to school it's now or the bus, you're choice...”

“I'll be right down!” Was her reply as she grabbed her leather jacket and her books.

When she the elevator door finally openedshe practiclly ran to the black car that was waiting for her ouside. “You need to get up earlier if want rides” Her uncle gave her a stern look as she closed the door, Nick would sometimes do that, try to be a serious adult, but he wasn't very good at it, he was bearlly an adult anyway, as he was only 25. But he was her only family left after the fire that had burned her house burning her parents with it. “Sorry, I snoozed” was Jane's only answer, it was always like this with them Nick would attempt to be angry but after a simple sorry he totally forgot about it. Although Jane really needed him to give her rides to school, their small apartment was a mile away from St. Margaret's, and taking the bus wasn't an option. In her first days of school she and Jack had tacken the bus, and it had been awfull. She could still remember the way everybody had looked at her, she detested being the center of attencion and no one would let them sit down so they'd had to sit on the floor. She ussually got out of the car a few blocks before arriving so her uncle didn't have that much traffic, she walked with Tam anyway.

“Will you be at home this afternoon?” This was a routine question in her life. “I don't think so, I have a meating” On fridays Jane had book club, and she didn't miss any meatings because reading was her life, she had started reading when she was a little girl, her old house had been full of books and she loved all of them. Nick would say that reading wasn't a hobbie for her, it was an obsesion. “Okay, but remember you have to at the apartment for dinner, we have guests...” Jenna, Nick's girlfriend ussually came on fridays. “Bye!” she she said closing the door at last.

“Hey you!” Someone shouted behind her, Jane guessed who it was even before turning around. Tam, was one of her best friends, she'd known hers since 7th grade and had been friends instantly. Although they were nothing alike. Tam was tall her, blond hair wich would be beautiful if she would let it grow, but she always cut it in a “V” following her jaw; she was really pretty anyway, with her blue eyes and delicate face, Jane continuatelly rubbed it in. Tam was actually very tough, and if anyone flirted with her they would recive a punch or a well tought insult. “Hi, Tamara.” Tam hated when anyone called her by her real name, but Jane did it to bug her.

“Shut up!” She was serious about it. “Or I won't let you see the last chapter of Growing till the sky!”

“Okay, okay!” Jane said quicklly. “I'm sorry, alright?”. Tam had hit her her weakness, she was a really good writter and Jane loved to read her stories.

“Fine” But thankfully Tam was really forgiving. “Hey look over there, isn't that guy cute?” She was looking at a boy walking across the street, he was, in fact very handsome. “He looks familiar...” Jane was grazing a memory or something about this person.

“We should talk to him” Tam might hate boys flirting with her but she loved to flirt. “We should be talking about the civil war, not guys, remember we have a history exam today!” Jane was really strict about exams, and if it weren't for her Tam would totally flunk school.
