Hi, i'm Mallory. The way I lived my life when i was a kid seemed like a whole fairytale. I lived without any worries. I am the only child in my family so when i wanted something, i would always get what I wanted. Isn't it crazy how someone who lived like a princess became like a peasant? Yes, I know it sounds absurd, but let me tell you how my riches to rags story actually started.

"Mallory, come downstairs, dinner is ready!" One of the  maid's called.

Any normal person would take the staircase down, but i had my own slide which connected from my bedroom to the dining room. I sat down at the dining table, with all those mouthwatering dishes served in front of me. Yes, my family does have their own personal chef. Any other person would feel blessed to have food available to them. However, i was such an ungrateful brat who would always waste food when it isn't to my liking. I was so dramatic and would usually gag and spit the food out when it does not even taste that bad.

I called one of my maid's and asked her if my parents were coming home this weekend. My parents would always work overseas and they barely had any time to spend with me. When my maid shook her head, i sighed and rolled my eyes. I was angry but i wasn't surprised. It's not like this was the first time that something like this happened. I decided to call my mother. After several calls, she finally picked up.

"Mom, when are you and dad gonna come back home? I want to spend time with you guys." I said.

"Sorry Mallory, we aren't sure when we're coming back home. I'll transfer more money to you. You can go out and enjoy with your friends or something.  Bye i have to go now." Mother replied and ended the call.

My Mother always uses money as an alternative to make me feel better, but money can't always buy you happiness.
