(Carina P.O.V)
Parting ways with Kody and Jaxson, Gray and I headed to our next class; Swimming/P.E. It was the last class of the day and by far my favorite class. Sadly, it was Gray's least favorite. Arriving a little late, to class, our teacher looked at us and pointed to the separate locker room.
"That's another tardy." He took out his clipboard and replaced the X that was originally there, with a check. He took a second, then a third look, and looked at us sternly.
"That's the third one this week! So today you sit out of class and meet me for detention after school in the other gym." Crossing his arms he stood for a second staring at us. Gray was fuming. Standing next to me he looked fine but there was energy bouncing off the walls that just settled my nerves. I knew just what to say.
"I'm sorry Mr. Hansen, but the principal excused us from our classes to give the new kids a tour. That being said I can accept after-class detention but to deprive me of my learning today is unfair." the room went silent. All he could do was stare, he was one of the feared teachers. Standing up to him was like talking back to a drill sergeant. After staring at us he clicked his tongue and walked over to the phone. Gray stood stiff as a board. After a minute or two, he walked back over to us.
" Fine, your story checks out. You can attend this class as your detention and you will be free of detention after school." He looked disappointed. Walking back to his class Gray burst out with laughter.

"Still living in an unmapped house in the middle of the woods?" Gray asked jokingly.
"Yes, you fuck face. Since you said that you can help me with the garden you fuck." I told him, a little offended, even though I knew he was joking.
"Woah there bro, that's a lotta fuck." He said laughing. We were pretty much at the house already. There was a newer car in the driveway. Even Gray was confused. Dad walked out of the house chatting and laughing with some mafia looking, dude. Seeing me he stopped smiling and waved her off. He looked happy... or he did. He walked back into the house and slammed the door behind him.
"Man, and I thought my dad hated me." Typically I'd be worried if he said this, but this time I was too scared of how my dad looked at me. He's NEVER looked at me like that before. It was pure rage. And I mean pure rage.
"Soooo, when can I kill your dad for all of your damn bruises?" He went silent. I felt bad, his dad was a sensitive topic for him. He ignored what I said and we continued to the house. Once in the house, we placed all our things beside the door. Dad was in the kitchen cleaning up what looked like lunch.
"You didn't tell me you were bringing Gray over here today. If I had a heads up I would have scheduled your training for later. I'm afraid he has to go home." Gray looked down sadly and nodded. My dad doesn't know about his, and probably wouldn't care about what he does to him if he did. It pissed me off. He always did this. No use in fighting though.
"Is it okay if I walk him home?" I asked, I wasn't actually gonna take him though. To be honest, we were probably gonna go fuck off by the pond. Gray sighed and faked a slight smile. He rolled his eyes and nodded
"Just don't be long." I nodded and grabbed Gray's wrist, running back at the door. I let go and opened it. We exited and walked a few feet.
"You're actually taking me home?" He asked sadly. I chuckled and we turned the opposite way from his house.
"Now think about what you just said. Why the hell would I willingly take you home?" I asked sarcastically. He smiled and sighed with relief. We were about 20 to 25 feet away from my old treehouse when we heard something. It sounded like a loud yell. Me and Gray jumped back and looked around.
