Chapter 1: Dope idea, congrats

To say  Hwang Bo-Gyeong was nervous would be underminiyng her nerves. After a year as YG's CEO, 8 years in YG entertainement, and severall years as executive director and Finances Director, she was still doubting herself. 

The last direction office leaved somewhat of a mess with the scandals, and the different desagreement with big groups and awards, which leads her of being in an uncomfortable position.

 Of course, she wanted to make YG strive back and reach even higher than it's golden years, but she was unsure of the direction she was taking. 

She tried to mend back the compagny relationship with others and to have a modern managing, making their artists, especially the compagny rising stars BLACKPINK appears in more event and comeback more. As far as now, it was proven successfull as the year as been really good to all of the artists, especially BLACKPINK and the compagny newest group, TREASURE. But still...she felt like she needed something bigger and more impactfull...And than SM entertainement contacted YG. Lee Soo Man himself was asking for a meeting!!!! 

YG and SM were known for generations for being rivaled and usually put against each other. Of course, everything was healthy competion and it was never explicitly said to not have contact, but since both Yang Hyun Suk and Lee Soo Man didn't get along well, the compagnies never tried to create any special bond with each other. 

SM's team was really unexplicit of their motives, so Hwang Bo-Gyeong and her team had attented the meeting, expecting anything was possible. Lee Soo Man and his team were waiting for them on a restaurant owns by SM, not too far from YG's buildings. Mrs Hwang had felt a bit intimidated but have not that it was a somewhat "neutral territory" as it wasn't in any of the compagnies main building. "But still in an SM's possession." Has thought Hwang Bo-Gyeong, while greetings the SM's team.

Only after all the participant have been seated and had food in their plates, did Lee Soo Man actually talk, signaling that the meeting was really starting. 

"-Mrs Hwang, do you have any idea of why I have ask to meet you?

-I must admit, it was a great schock and still today, I can't figure out why.

-Really? Than let me ask you something. Have you been browsing the media recently?

-My media and communication do it everyday, of course!

-Then, you must know about the increase of people supporting both of our compagnies?

-As far as I know, they always been a certain amount of them, but it is true that since Red Velvet and BLACKPINK are being very open about their friendship, the reaction are becoming even better. But I still can't really see where you are going, M.Lee?

-Well, my own media team as been running a little...experiment. See, we told are artists to not hesitate to react and interact with yours. And we concluded that the public very much enjoy it. So we decide to come with a proposition. Would you like our to compagny to join hand for a bit and collaborate?"

Hwang Bo-Gyeong was a bit startle back. SM extending their hands to YG?? SM asking them to collaborate?? She wouldn't have been so surprised if it was JYP, as the late YG's CEO and JY Park are friends, and it wasn't uncommon to see the two compagnies holding survival shows together. But SM??? Never would Hwang Bo-Gyeong had thought this could be possible.

After Lee Soo Man proposition, the room was in silence, as the YG team was startled, why the SM's team were patiently wainting for the reaction. They were expecting YG's personnal to be astonished by it, as they didn't inform them before the meeting. After a little while, Mrs Hwang taked again.

"You want us to...collaborate? What type of collaboration?"

Lee Soo Man turn to a manager who sitting next to him and gave him a sign. The man directed the attention of everyone on him before starting his explanation.

"-Well we were thinking of some sort of reallity show involving both of our compagnies most populars groups. We were thinking of making them all live in a house together and give them some type of mission to complete. We would paired a group from YG and a group from SM together to complete the mission. The winner would be the pair that complete more mission. Of course, it is a preliminary idea, feel free to add other concepts. Everything will be decided together.

-Let's admit we agreeded to it. When would this show happens? How many groups would you like to send? How much do each of the compagnies will invest in the project?

-Honestly we did not think to this point for now. We only came with a preliminary idea to present to you and try to obtain your approval. We were thinking of teasing the collaboration and then browsing the fans medias to see what they would be expecting to see from it. We would then rearranged it with the budget and artits. How does it sound to you?"

Hwang Bo-Gyeong stayed silent for a few seconds, sharing glances with the members of her team.

"-Would you be willing to give us a few days to think about it? To be honest, this proposition seems really good and I feel the compagny would benefit from it. But I still need to discuss it with the rest of my teams.

-But of course, said Lee Soo Man, we weren't expecting to have an aswer as soon as we made the proposition. Just the fact that you are seriously thinking about it is enough to us."

After that, the meeting continue a bit with mundane conversation until both team parts ways. The day after it, Hwang Bo-Gyeong called all of the artists and managers to an emergency meeting. She had to include everyone and to be sure to take the right decision...She wasn't about to do the same mistake as the old CEO and not be as prideful but she still wanted to be close to her artists. She was determined to make it works.
