Hi! This chapter is a little...frisky in one spot so I would advise for anyone under 13 not to read it but it's up to you:) It's not terrible, though! Just a little "riskay" lol!
The only eventful thing I did all summer was be with Fred. We lived in the same house so it was hard not to see him. Of course, since everyone knew that we were now dating, it was extremely difficult to find time alone together, because absolutely no one allowed it. Sirius let us bend a few rules sometimes by covering up for us while we made out in the pantry but other times, he would abide by Mrs. Weasley's rules. It wasn't that she didn't like me- she loved me. She was just trying to protect us and especially her son so that another little Weasley didn't pop out just yet.
Fred would apparate from room to room, trying to avoid his mother so that we wouldn't get caught. She would come into my room seconds after he apparated out of it but I would tell her I didn't know where he was and then he'd come back right after. We did this about twenty times a day.
No one knew that I had snuck out of Grimmauld Place, though. If they did...Well, I wasn't planning on figuring that part out. I made sure that I had been extremely careful. All of the broomsticks had fallen over when I placed mine down and they made a huge noise but thankfully, no one woke up. I would've thought that there would be better security for it being the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix but I just walked out the front door.
Other than that, however, it was pretty uneventful. Now that Voldemort was back and no one really believed it except for a select few, we had to be careful about where we went and who we talked to. I haven't left this apartment all summer except to go play outside and tan a few times but other than that, Shacklebolt had his workers at the Ministry go and fetch all of our school supplies. It was quite nice not having to do anything on my own so that I could spend more time with my friends but I missed the old days when I didn't have to worry about this kind of stuff and I didn't have to think about my every move or else I could die. I guess this was it, though. We were finally getting to the end.
The Order of the Phoenix, so it's called, consists of several men and women who are fighting for their lives to take down Voldemort. They meet every week at Grimmauld Place in the kitchen. It's a bit weird having a dozen adults in the same house as me talking about my brother and I. Snape often lets me read his mind as well, because I'm not allowed in the meetings, so I can still get the same information. It's often quite terrifying and I understand why they don't want any of us in there. There was talk about Voldemort infiltrating the Ministry so we would have to move houses and about Hogwarts not being safe in the future. I didn't even want to think about any of that, hence why I wasn't a part of the meetings.
Dumbledore had stopped by one of the meetings in the beginning of summer and met with all of the teeangers once the order was done with their meeting. He specifically ordered us not to contact Harry all summer for his safety. Of course, I didn't follow this rule and I would send him a letter every week. I just told Sirius that I was talking to Lainey. I didn't tell him anything the order said about us; I didn't even tell him that anyone here. I told him that it was just me and that the Weasley's were coming later in the summer, just so that he didn't feel left out. He told me about his time with the Dursey's and how they were still abusive to him. It infuriated me. I always dreaded that part in his letters but I was just glad that he was still alive and that I could see him in a few weeks when school started back up.
"Children, children," Sirius addressed us. We were all in the twins' room. I was making out with Fred on his lap and Ginny and George were playing wizards chess while Hermione and Ron bickered about Harry or spells or whatever they usually argued about. "May I speak with you?"
"Sure. What's up?" Ginny asked. After she took the initiative of agreeing, we all turned our heads to listen also.
"This is important," he told us quietly.
