The Abused Gymnast

Part 27

I get my schedule from the front desk lady

A few weeks ago when they enrolled me, I chose dance and choir as electives

May takes my schedule to look at it 

May-

"We all have lunch together and I have PE when you have dance, so I will meet you outside your history class to show you where it is but that's it."

Ella-

"Ok wher is English? I have that first."

May-

"I will take you there. Matt I will meet you in science."

Matt-

"K see you later Ella."

We start walking to my English class

Everyone is staring and all the girls are furious

May-

"Here we are."

He kisses my forehead

May-

"have a good day and I will see you later."

I nod and go into the classroom

English teacher-

"Hello your Ella right?"

I nod

English teacher-

"Would you like to introduce yourself to the class?"

 I shake my head

English teacher-

"Ok, you can sit next to Noah"

A kid in the back raises his hand

I go over there and set my crutches against the desk and use the empty chair next to me to prop my leg up.

Noah-

"Hey"

I look at him and then back to my desk

I am not opening up to people at school anymore

I don't need friends, or people to talk to

English teacher-

"Ok class you are going to write an essay on what makes you peaceful. It can be sounds, places, people, etc.."

I nod my head, this was fun. I feel at peace working out in a gym

I write about how real life goes away and I feel empowered, and strong. I don't write about the abuse, I just wrote about how I felt while working out while all that was going on.

20 minutes later, I have like 3 pages, I just kept on writing and writing

I review it like 5 times and fix some things that could be made clearer

I get my crutches and go over to the teacher and hand her my work

English teacher-

"This is a lot in 25 minutes. Are you sure you checked for mistakes?"

Ella-

"Yes I'm sure."

I whisper

English teacher-

"I'm impressed, you have no homework for tonight."

Ella-

"May I please use the bathroom?"

English teacher-

"Yes go ahead."

I go to the bathroom and do my business and I am washing my hands.

The door opens and what looks like the 'queen b' of the school walks in 

Ashly

Ashly-

"Bi*ch stay away from the Rosso brothers"

I ignore her and keep washing my hands, is she seriously telling me to stay away from my own brother's?!"

Ashly-

"Hey! Answer me."

Ella-

"Hi, I'm Ella Rosso."

Ashly-

"Yea right the Rosso brothers don't have a sister."

I walk out and go back to class

After English I have math then lunch, which is weird after 2 periods but on "a" days I have English, math,history, and dance on "b" days. I have science, art, free period (with Con and Sean not May though) then PE

At lunch I find the back of the school and I read the book Mac got me

After like 30 minutes I have 5 minutes left, I decide to go to the cafeteria

I eventually find it and....

May-

"Where were you?! I've been looking all over for you!"

He picks me up and takes me to a table with like 7 people including Con and Sean

Con-

"Where were you?"

Sean-

"Where were you?"

Ella-

"I was in the back of the school reading the book Mac gave me at the hospital"

Sean-

"You almost gave us a heart attack, we were worried about you!"

Richard-

"Who is this?"

May-

"Oh, um guys this is our sister Ella"

All the guys look at him like he is crazy
