"Aren't you gonna forgive me?" Emily said with a cute pout making the kids melt away. They glared at her tries and finally giving up jumped on her making her to fell on her back laughing out.

"You always do that Em. We waited for you yesterday but you didn't come." Jim said making her feel guilty. Last night she had a part-time job so she forgot to visit the orphanage and even her promise to the kids.

"I am sorry Jim. I promise today I will send the whole day with you guys. Ask me anything your big sister will fulfil it." All the kids screamed in celebration making her laugh out.

Today Emily was free as it was a Sunday so she decided to spend the whole day at the orphanage. After playing with the kids for some time she went to the kitchen to help her aunt. She tiptoed towards her aunt who was busy in cutting the vegetables and tightly back hugged her startling her.

"Gosh Em you scared me. When did you come." Emily smiled placing her head her aunt's shoulder. After Emily's mother's death, her aunt has raised her like her own daughter. She never let Emily feel like a burden but let herself feel this orphanage at her house and her aunt as her second mother.

"I just came a few minutes ago. Kids were really angry at me for not coming yesterday." She said with a guilty face but then her aunt turned around kissing her cheek.

"Don't worry Em I know you were busy. No need to feel guilty. They are children that's why they don't know from which trouble you're going through, don't mind their words." Emily smiled at her aunt feeling so grateful.

"You know how to ease my stress. Don't you." She said smiling cutely while her aunt only chuckled before going back to her work. Emily also started to help her.

"Oh! Aunt, I forgot to give you this." She said pulling an envelope from her hoodie's pocket and placing it on the slab. Aunt cleaned her hands and opened the envelope with a confused frown but soon her frown got replaced with a sad look and a sigh left from her lips before turning to nervous Emily with a cheeky smile.

"Em, I told you many times you don't have to give me any money I can manage. You already have your own matters." Aunt said with a strict tone making her sigh out.

"Aunt, you know I do this not because I wanna show that you can't manage but I want to help you. It's my responsibility too. And no more words it's not like I give you money every day. Don't worry Aunt I can afford that's why I gave you." Her aunt sighed before shaking her head at her stubborn daughter and finally giving up.

After some time of helping her aunt, Emily went out to see the kids and instantly a small smile appeared on her lips. Then her eyes met with a small boy sitting in the corner watching the playing children with his sad eyes. Emily sighed before walking towards him.

"Mike." She called his name before sitting beside him. He was an introvert boy. He always reminds Emily of her. She still remember how she used to be like him not wanting to even talk to other kids and only mind her business but then she met William who changed her lonely life by holding her near him.

He was the only kid who never thought of her as a weird girl but instead made her feel like someone is with her and is here to support her. She smiled at Mike who also smiled at her.

"What are you doing here alone. Don't you think you should play with them?" Mike looked down telling her that he can't. But soon a small girl ran towards them and pulled both Mike and Emily to the playground.

Mike was a little hesitant but then they all offered him to play with them. She smiled at him encouraging him. Mike finally started playing with them making her sigh in relief.
