Anomaly POV
I stood dead center of the outside training center. The wind blew just enough to make my strand of red hair blow in front of my left eye. The black haired boy (Shinra, I think) fired up his power. Fire shot out of his feet, making him fly up in the air. He got himself in a fighting position, not wasting any time.
The blondie (Arthur, maybe) pulled a sword out of his fireproof coat. I don't know what it's made of; probably plasma, but it looked deadly. He got in a fighting position with his glowing blue sword, but that wasn't the scariest part. His light blue eyes glowed so bright that they looked like lightbulbs. Shivers crept up my spine whilst looking at the terrifying boys.
I was about to start fighting until I noticed something. I don't know how to activate my power! Sir must have caught onto my panicking because he yelled, "just think about being an infernal! How lonely you were at the intersection. How angry you were. 'Why me? I never did anything,' you asked yourself." Rage filled my emotions to the rim as he said his last quote, "'Why am I the one who had to be turned infernal? I just wanted to stay with my family.'"
My vision blurred and red was all that was visible. My hands shook and tears ran down my scowling face as my power immediately activated. The red in my vision was replaced with blue and white from my flames.
I was about to make the first move and spring at Arthur. Instead, Shinra came out of nowhere. He tried to kick me from above, but I dodged the blow easily and his foot slammed into the cement below us, leaving a large dent in the ground. Rubble flew in the air as I grabbed Shinra's ankle with my flaming hand. Right before I threw him to the ground, I heard him mumble, "the fire's cold!?" Before he could say another word, I flung him to the ground, leaving a larger indent.
More rocks, rubble, and cement pieces went airborne as I got as low as possible and ran straight for Arthur. He sliced down with his sword, but I somehow got even lower to the ground by squatting and moving my right foot out in front of me. I swept my right leg under his and made him fall, accidentally letting the sword out of his grasp.
I bounced up out of my uncomfortable position, thinking I evaded and countered his attack perfectly. I was sorely mistaken. As I ran to grab his sword before him, a tingling sensation from my shoulder shot down my arm, making my whole right arm numb and useless. I stood there for a second, grasping my shoulder and feeling blood flowing from the wound and down my arm.
Arthur must have seen my hesitation and used it to his advantage. Before I knew it, I felt a hand around my ankle, pulling me down to my knees. As I struggled from his grasp, trying to find a way to get up, I heard heavy footsteps from beside me.
I glanced to the side just in time to see the other boy's figure coming straight for me. He raised his leg and fire blasted from his foot. Without a second thought, Shinra's foot hit my back with such impact, I was brought down from my knees and into a face plant instead. My face slammed into the cement under us, making my forehead bleed and my eyes blur.
As I scrambled back to get my small amount of weight off the ground, Shinra tossed Arthur his sword and they both got back up in a fighting position. Finally, when I was off the ground and in the best defensive position I could do, I saw that the two boys were in just as bad shape as I. The left side of Shinra's forehead was swollen, purple and blue, and bleeding pretty intensely. His ankle, the one I grabbed, had frostbite and small ice shards on it, making sure the fire on that foot isn't as intense as the other.
Arthur didn't look much better. He held his left arm close to his right. Bruises and blood were very visible on the right arm, but he still held his sword high and stood at the ready. His left hand, which grabbed my ankle before, looked the same as Shinra's ankle; frozen and suffering from frostbite.
Seeing how bad we all looked, I put my hands above my head in surrender. I tried to act as nonchalant as possible as I said, "You've seen what I can do. Why don't we stop before we get any more hurt?" The boys exchanged weary glances, but nodded.
We all limped towards the rest of the team, using each other to keep us from falling. Their shocked, worried, and terrified looks eased when I managed to say, "we need medical assistance pleaaaa-"
I fell to the ground, unable to move anymore and the two boys went with me. We slowly fell asleep. The boys were already snoring as I heard Captain mumble, "well, this is gonna be fun..." With that, I passed out like Shinra and Arthur.
