Music: Destiny - The Guardian

In the middle of the day, humans were hard at work. They lived in a wasteland, a remote area far from any civilization. Their small buildings were built from wood and rusted metal.

The ground was always dusty and dirty, trees south of the small village hid a devastating dark core. Sitting on the roof of a big Hut in the middle of the village we're four teens all lined up. From left to right we start with Ana, the girl who rarely spoke. She had stone cold eyes and black hair, rather skinny for her age as well.

She always wore a white t-shirt, an open blue jacket that zipped up, and brown gloves with shorts. She wore a black hat that slightly covered her forehead, leaving a small red scar above her right eye in the shade. Beside her was Evan, the boy who wore the same gloves with brown pants, a grey jacket, and had long female-like hair.

To his left was Simon, the boy who refused to kill
Or even fight. He was taller but gentle of course. He was the only kid in the village that had a rare condition that made his right eye blue and his left green.

Beside him was a girl with black hair and all
Black clothes, she had red eyes and always wore fingerless gloves that went up to her biceps.

Evan: Alright, how about, for tomorrow's scout, we split up into two groups.

Simon: I don't think that would be a good idea. I'm the navigator-

Crona: Well, Simon wont fight if we find someone.

Evan: And that's okay, baby. But how are we gonna cover more ground?

Crona: As a team, it's our first real scouting adventure. So we tackle it as a group.

Simon: I-...think that's okay.

Evan: That sounds good.

Crona: Do you think we should go with my simple idea, Ana?

Everyone looked at Ana, waiting for a response. She looked at them and nodded.
Soon they all jumped down into the yellow dust below, their boots stomping into the ground all at once.
Soon after an adult walked over to them. It was a large man in a stolen camouflage army suit.

Dedrick: You four spent all night cleaning around, I think you should sleep now in the afternoon.

Crona: Wouldn't we wake up before the sun rises though?

Dedrick: You are scouts, that's the idea. You know the goal, now go to bed.

Evan: That's not fair!

Simon: Actually I wouldn't mind shut eye right now-

Dedrick: Why can't you be more like Ana, Evan?

Ana just shrugged as they all looked up at the man, Ana specifically having a blank expression. Her face was literally two dots and a small line.

Evan: Ahhhh! Fine!

Crona: Hey, look on the bright side, Evan.

Evan: What's the bright side?

Evan turns around to look at the girl in all black. They both look at each other for a while after the other two walk away. Dedrick shrugs and walks into a bigger hut in the middle of the village.

Music Fades Away...

A bit later, Evan walked into his hut and sighed. It was a simple set up, a soft bed in the middle, a clothes box under the bed, and a large window with stolen curtains right above the bed.

He walked up to his bed and slowly took off his gloves, exposing his soft brown hands and overgrown fingernails. Sighing at the sight of them he put the gloves back on slowly.
He heard his door open and close, turning around to see Crona blushing at him.
