"Hey Kaitlyn," Kylie jumped into my room through the window.
"Hi Kylie," I muttered, not looking up from my computer.
Kylie was the only other person in the world who I was actually close to besides Rhoda.
Even though Kylie was only 13, she acted at least four years older. She lived up the street. Kylie was homeschooled -- I'm not going to say she was normal. Her dark brown hair with tips that were colored every color of the rainbow, and her fluttery personality made her anything BUT normal.
That day she had on a pair of really short purple shorts, with a yellow tribal print crop top that didn't seem to exactly... Flow with the rest of her outfit. She was wearing a bright blue headband that almost exactly matched her playful eyes. She definitely had a very interesting sense of fashion; but that was one of the things that made her unique. That made her Kylie.
"Whatcha doing?" She said, mimicking Isabella in Phineas & Ferb's voice.
"Eating chocolate," I muttered, still focused on my computer.
"Where'd you get it?" Kylie played with her hair.
"Doggy dropped it."
"Where'd he drop it?" Kylie leaned over the back of my chair, examining the photo I was intently staring at.
"In the sewer," I chewed my lip.
"What's it taste like..." Kylie put her head on my shoulder.
"Cow manure!"
"You've finally got it!" She laughed, sitting up straight and clapping. She collapsed on my bed. "Is that photo of Rocky recent?" She gestured at my computer.
"Yeah," I twirled my hair. "Riker posted it this morning."
"He needs a hair cut," Kylie made a face.
"HE'S PERFECT THE WAY HE IS YOU--" I stopped, realizing she was just messing with me. I rolled my eyes. "You butt!"
"Awh, not a nice way to talk to someone who..." She jumped up and shoved two slips of paper in my face. "BOUGHT YOU TICKETS TO MEET YOUR HUSBAND'S BAND!!!!"
I screamed; partially from shock of her fist in my face, and the other in disbelief. "YOU'RE KIDDING!"
"Please, I know if I tricked you into thinking I bought you tickets you'd murder me!!! I'm not kidding!!!!!!" She scoffed.
"Oh my gosh!!!" I started jumping. "THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!"
"Eh, I figured it'd be an adequate birthday present..."
"I LOVE YOU KYLIE!!" I shouted, giving her a big hug.
"Air-- can't breath-- too tight-- KAITLYN LET GO!"
I clasped my hands together and grabbed the tickets out of Kylie's hand. "When are we going?!"
"Next week!!"
I yelped. "You're only giving me one week to prepare for the best day of my life?!"
"Kaitlyn... You've met him before...."
"Still!!! This time YOU'RE going to be there! And just..." I made a high pitched squealing noise in the back of my throat.
Kylie laughed. "Hey, I still have civics left." She groaned. "So I have to go. Have fun fangirling!!!" She waved, then jumped out of my window.
I couldn't believe it. Was Kylie just, AMAZING?! She obviously knew the way into my heart. Meet and greet tickets to my favorite band; a chance to see the love of my life again.
I started grinning like an idiot, petting the tickets.
I was going to see R5.
