Skipping Beats
**Author's Note:
I just wanted to write something about two boys, and the thought of Ace just came to my mind. I started writing and, well... Here's the result! (: Thank you for not copying or spreading this on the internet, I've worked really hard with writing it. Copying this is against the law, since I have copyright on it.**
Chapter One
Ace was lying in his bed, looking at a weird black spot on the perfectly white wall. He was intensively glaring at the black imperfection on the otherwise perfect wall. He was restless and had no idea what to do.
It was the last day of summer break and he was starting a new school the next day. To be honest, he didn't want to switch schools in the first place, but his mother got transferred to Manhattan and really needed the raise that she was offered, so he didn't have much of a choice.
Ace sighed heavily and got up from the bed, he didn't want to waste a perfectly fine day just lying in his bed, doing nothing.
After he had gotten dressed and ready, he went out. He just took a stroll, to have something to do.
"Ah, it's been a long time since I went out just to walk like this..." he said happily.
"No wonder you're so pale, then." Ace turned around to see the person behind him, the person with the dark, a bit amused voice. Ace looked at him with a confused expression.
"Excuse me, but... Who the hell are you?" Ace asked and glared at the boy who was standing right in front of him
"Me? Oh, I'm Lee. I live in the house right over there." the boy said and pointed at a gray house right across the street. "And you?"
"I'm Ace, nice to meet you..." Ace mumbled and looked at the asphalt under their feet. He didn't know why, but he was embarrassed. Lee chuckled.
"Well, nice to meet you. Se you around." he said and waved at Ace, walking away with his quick footsteps.
"Weird guy..." Ace started walking again, slowly.
When he got home again, he went straight up to his room. He turned on his computer and listened to Three Days Grace through his old Skullcandy headphones. Ace really liked Three Days Grace, though he didn't know exactly what it was that he liked. He just did.
Around an hour after that, it was time for dinner. Ace literally only played with the food. He was seventeen years old and still pretended that the broccoli was evil aliens and that the pasta was soldiers that would fight them. Of course, the pasta always won, and Ace ended up eating five pieces of broccoli and then return to his room. The question why he was playing with his food had a simple answer; that way, he didn't have to eat as much food. No one really noticed that he was leaving all of the food if he started off with playing with it. This was something Ace had figured out at age thirteen.
He didn't have any eating disorders like anorexia or bulimia; he just simply couldn't eat the food. He didn't like the feeling of chewing and swallowing.
To tell the truth, Ace was way to skinny. He really needed to eat a lot more, but he just didn't have the appetite.
Ace had no muscles at all, he was just skinny. He had turquoise eyes with thick, black eyelashes. He had dark circles since he didn't sleep that much.
Ace was pale. He nearly never went outside in daylight, especially not on sunny days. He had black hair with a few blonde strikes in it. He usually dressed in way too big, baggy t-shirts and tight, black jeans. Ace also always put on a tiny amount of black eyeliner around his eyes so that they would look less bright.
