i stood there watching as many girls got chosen and asked out for prom, i knew that no one would ask me, since i was always quiet and no one ever liked me. i walked into the classroom with my headphones and sat at the back and placed my books on the table ready for the lesson to begin.
i heard the popular boys come in chattering and laughing away, i looked at DK who was my crush, he had everything, the voice, the personality, the kindness and the looks were extra. i looked away before he noticed and placed my head down on the table and shut my eyes while listening to some exo songs.
i felt a tap on my shoulder and looked up to see my teacher "asleep was we?" they said "sorry wont happen again" i said taking my headphones out and in my pockets. i looked round to see everyone looking at me, i looked at the board and wrote down what was on there.
i grabbed my bag and got up ready for lunch although i always went to the side of the school which was my usual thing to do and read a book. i walked out and sat down and got out my favourite book out which was harry potter, i began to read it and place my earphones in my ears.
i felt a presence next to me, i looked up and saw dokyeom next to me, i looked round and taken my earphone out, "can i help you" i asked him "i was just wondering why?" he said "why?" i questioned looking at him in confusion "well why you are always by yourself" he said "i always been by myself so im use to it and beside no one here likes me and your one of the first people to talk to me apart from teachers" i said "well why dont we change that, come hang out with me" he said, i smiled "i would love to, but i prefer it to be only me and besides i feel comfortable by myself" i said, he nodded.
we sat that awkwardly "so do you have a date to prom" he asked me, i shook my head "well why dont we go together?" he asked me, my eyes widen i didnt expect this "i would like that, but surely you would have like a thousands girls after you" he chuckled and shook his head "i do, but i rejected them since i wanted to go to prom with you" he said nudging me "well either way i would love to" i said smiling.
I got back to class and sat at the back and placed my music in, i saw dk sit down with his mates and was looking very happy, he looked at me and smiled.
4 days later
Prom was tonight and i wanted to suprise everyone that i wasnt the girl they thought was shy and nerdy. i got my makeup done and put on my dress ready with my shoes.

i doubled checked my hair and makeup looked good and walked out the door with my phone and keys in my bag. i got in my car and drove off to where the prom was taking place. i got out and saw all the girls looking at me in shook and talking about me, i smiled and put my head down until i got in the hall, i saw dk talking and laughing with his mates, i sat down in the corner and went on my phone and scrolled though tiktok. "Y/N?" i looked up to see Dk looking at me in shook "hi" his suit was black but his sleeves were rolled and he had his blazer over his shoulder "you look beautiful" he said smiling "thank you, you look very handsome" i said "mind if i sit with you" he asked "go ahead" i said smiling "have anyone notice your outfit" he said "yeah a lot of them, the all saw me getting out my car and was complimenting me, but they never came up to me i heard them" i said "well they aren't wrong"
me and dk was now dancing to a slow song his hands were on my waist while my hands were resting on his shoulders, "you know i would like to do" he said "what?" i said looking up at him "hopefully if this prom goes well me and you could go on a date, somewhere nice" he said, i smiled "i would love that" we carried on soft dancing, though the song. i noticed many looks at me and dk, i placed my head down and carried on "you okay" dk said looking at me "yeah im okay dont worry" i said.
me and dk was now walked around the park that was close by, i walked near the pond and crouch looking at the little fishes swimming "they are so pretty" i said smiling "just like you" i got up and turned to dk "you been saying that all night but thank you" i said smiling, i felt cold, i put my hands on my upper arms to keep me warm "here" dk said placing his blazer on my shoulder "thank you" i said smiling.
me and dk rode to my house since he lived fairly close "well thank you for the lift" he said "my pleasure" i said pulling into my driveway "you live here?" he said in shock "yeah" i said blushing "its beautiful" he said while admiring my house "thank you, this is something though i dont want to get round the school, i prefer it to stay with us" i said getting out "i wont tell" he said still looking at it "oh, here" i gave him back his blazer, "thank you" me and him stood in my drive way for a while "would you like to come in, and maybe see it inside" i asked him, he nodded, we walked up the stairs and and unlocked the door, "welcome" i said walking in with dk shutting the door, "its even more better" his eyes was lighting up with the way my house looked.
we had a a drink and was just talking about our life, "wait will your parents be home" he asked, i looked down and shook my head "no, they passed a year ago, and they left this house for me, but they never really cared for me, they forgot about me a lot, but in there will they said to leave what ever for me, and they never cared if i was to sell it but i havent sold anything yet" i said smiling "im sorry i brought it up" he said "no, dont worry its okay" i said smiling "well i best get going since my room mate may wonder where i am" he said getting up, i got up as we walked to the door "i guess ill see you in school" i said "yeah, but we will hang out and also dont forget the date i said about" he said very happily "i wont dont worry, but give me your number so we can work out when" i said passing him my phone, he typed it in and passed it back "i guess ill see you tomorrow" he said waving and walked down the stairs, i smiled as i watched him walk away. i shut the door and let out a little squeal "so the people who think im shy and needy saw me in a light where i looked beautiful" i walked up sairs and got out of my dress and changed into some shorts and with long sleeve top, ready for bed.
i finally updated, im so sorry for the long wait, i have three assignments due and barely have time but after the 17th i will hopefully update but i am hoping for any NCTzens to read my NCT imagines when i finally can write it, and i will do OT23 so do please keep an eye out for when it happens , although i may announce it at the end of when i do another member of seventeen, i hope you have a good day/night and ill see you soon
