The Kaos

Chapter 10

~~~Haleys POV~~~

As Lindsey and I were cowering in the bathrooms I came upon the realization that we were being idiots. Instead up suiting up (not actually suits BTW) for the battle we were sitting here contributing absolutely nothing to the world we had always dreamed about.

 “Lindsey!” I shouted in her ear to capture her attention.

“What?!”

 “Don't you think we should be helping them?” I asked.

“Of course I do, but don't you think we would just be getting in the way?” She responded. “I mean we can't even hold a sword let alone kill things with it.”

“Oh yeah.” I sighed. “But remember Percy didn't even know what he was doing when he killed the minotaur, so maybe we can wing it.”

Lindsey raised her eyebrows. I pouted.

“Fine but if we get killed then I'm blaming you.”

Together we ran out of the bathrooms and joined the others.

The some of the romans and all of the monsters were fighting the campers. I was thankful that not all of the romans were trying to kill us, but some of the stupid ones had decided to continue to follow Octavion (wasn't he supposed to be dead?) orders to destroy the greeks.

 We grabbed some weapons off of the ground. They had blood on them and I really didn't want to think about how it had gotten there.

 We located Nico and Renya, who were fighting a group of romans that were attempting to burn down the cabins. They looked surprised to see us, but were glad for the assistance. I glanced at Nico out of the corner of my eye to find that he was getting paler by the second it that was even possible. Even if he wasn't slowing down I knew he was getting tired. I was pushed back into the fight when I had to jump to the side to avoid getting stabbed.

 My fighting skills weren't as bad as I had anticipated and the same goes for Lindsey. We were able to hold our own for a while by just jumping and dodging out of the way. I turned it into a game called don't let the pointy thing touch you. Kinda like a more advanced version of dodgeball without the ball part.

The guy I was battling was pretty burly and smelled like cheese for some strange reason. (I think he had a cheese fetish or something). I don't remember when he pulled out another sword but he did and slowly me jumping and dodging technique wasn't working so well. Panicking, I decided to use my weapon for offense instead of defence. To be honest I didn't mean to stab him but I did. I thanked the gods it was just his arm because I didn't need a death on my conscience even if this was a war. Once I made sure he was down for good, but not dead I ran over to help Lindsey, but she didn't really need it. I watched in awe as she tackled her opponents one after another. I still have no idea how she did it but she managed to take out almost the entire group of romans by herself. I felt kinda useless honestly because I wasn't really helping.

I looked over the battlefield and saw Nico collapse. “Stupid boy” I huffed and went over to help Renya carry him to the medic tent. She was wary at first but decided not to argue. He was surprisingly light, but at the same time it wasn't really a surprise considering all he's been through.

 We were almost to the medic bay when I heard it and I almost dropped Nico in my excitement. Carefully I handed him to Renya and ran.

Somewhere along the way Lindsey had joined me but I was too excited to care. We maneuvered around the fights and monsters that would soon try to kill us with only one goal in mind.

 I almost shit myself when I saw It in all its bule, boxey, sexeyness. I have a feeling that Lindsey almost did too. I slowed as I approached it. I was about to knock when the door swung open. The person who opened it said the only words that every girl and boy wants to here.

“Hello there I’m The Doctor.”
