Chapter 2

As I finished curling my hair and doing my makeup, I decided to get dressed. I wore a red, tight plain dress that hugged my curves and made me look quite good.

Chad was on his way to pick me up, we were going to my favourite restaurant, 'The Swifty' which was quite fancy. I was just waiting, sitting on my bed when I heard a knock on my window. Because there was a tree between Kyle and I's window, we always go into each other's bedrooms.

Kyle's POV

As I knocked on her window I knew she was getting ready for her date with Chad. I really didn't want her to go on this date because I knew Chad was a player and eventually would just break her heart. As she opened her window and I climbed through, I couldn't take my eyes off her. Her dress showed off her perfect body, her hair blonde hair was curled beautifully and she overall, looked amazing.

Skye's POV

As he climbed through my window, he's eyes were going all over my body.

"Take a picture Kyle, it will last longer." I laughed.
Kyle's face was serious though, "Sorry you just look so beautiful!" Wow that's the second time someone has said to me today. "Aww thanks Kyle!"
"No worries, so you're actually going on this date, huh? Where is he even taking you, maccas?"
"Kyle, he's actually really sweet and no, he's taking me to The Swifty. Anyway he's gonna be here in a minute so I should probably go wait downstairs. Seeya later!"
I could see the hurt in his eyes but I really had to go. "Bye Skye."

Chad was a complete gentlemen, he opened the car door for me, bought me roses and even pulled out the chair for me. We were having a lovely time until a familiar face appeared at our table.
"Hey kids I'll be your waiter for tonight, what could I get you?" That smirk of his!
"Kyle what are you doing here?"
"Well you know how my Aunty owns the place?"
"Yeah I know that...."
"Well I decided to get a shift tonight for some extra money."
"Why, you've never worked here before?"
"Well I am tonight."
Oh god this was going to be an awkward night.

After that Kyle kept on coming to our table to talk to me and I could see Chad was getting annoyed. Half an hour later, Kyle came with our food and placed my fish in front of me. Next, he started to place Chad's food down but 'accidentally' tipped it all over Chad. Well that was Chad's breaking point. "Look Kyle, I don't care if you have a thing for Skye or whatever but she is here with me, on our date and you have taken this too far!" "I'm sorry Chad but I don't think you are genuinely Interested in Skye!" "And why would that be?" "Because Chad, next time you take someone on a date to piss me off, you probably shouldn't tell those friends of yours because guess what, they are real stupid and told me."
Oh my god I couldn't believe this! "Is this true Chad?" "Skye...." "CHAD! Is it true or not??" "Yes I'm very sorry." And with that he walked off.

Kyle took me straight home after that. "Skye, are you alright?" "Yep I'll be fine, thank you for everything." And then I went straight to my bedroom as the chime of a text message came through.

"Skye, baby I would never do that to you, you are way too good for that!"

I looked over through the window to a smiling Kyle and mouthed a thank you.

The next day I was sitting on our lunch table with all my friends when Ryan said, "Guess what guys my parents are letting me take some friends along to our beach house, us six, what do you think?" Everyone nodded in agreement and it was settled, the school holidays were starting in 2 days and for the whole 2 weeks, I would be spending it with my favourite people.
