Chapter 3

So because of the amount of characters I have, most chapters from here on will be focused on the characters from one or two houses. I'll put what characters will be the focus at the beginning, but you should still read it even if your character isn't the focus. Today I'll have the group together in the beginning and then focus on the Gryffindors at the end :)

The group settles into their dormitories, finding their luggage already there, just as Theadora said it would be. Instead of going to bed right away, the group decided to meet in the library to talk first.

"Aven?" Analia calls, and the purple haired girl raises her head.

"Hmm?" She hums in response.

"How can you see the Thestrals?" She asks quietly and Aven looks back down again.

"I was driving with my parents when a car hit us," she mumbles. "That's why I'm in foster care."

"I'm sorry," Quincy whispers and Aven shakes her head.

"It's fine, let's move on." Aven says quickly, trying to change subjects. "What's our plan?"

"Well," Theadora starts uneasily. "I say we study everything we can and try to find a solution."

"Easy for you to say, you study in your sleep." Bee mutters and Theadora rolls her eyes.

"If Dumbledore really is as great of a wizard as you said he is, how would we be able to learn anything better than what he could do?" Blaire questions with furrowed brows. The group falls silent at the thought, their optimism fading.

"Well, if we are stuck here, then we might as well make the most of our life here." Theadora reasons and Octavia looks at her incredulously.

"What? We can't stay here!" she shakes her head. "We have friends and family back home, we can't just leave them to make a new life here."

"Why not?" Cicely pipes up and everyone looks at her. "This is a chance to start over, and it's quite frankly pretty cool here. We are literally at a school of magic."

"I know, but we can't just leave everyone else! They're probably looking for us right now," Octavia argues. "How long do you think we'll stay? Will our families have to assume we're dead or kidnapped before then?"

"Via," Quincy says softly, putting a hand on her shoulder in an attempt to calm her down. "It'll be alright. We'll find a way back, but in the meantime, we should make the most of our time here."

"You're right," Octavia sighs after a pause. "I'm sorry, I've just been stressed out about this."

"We all are, it's okay." Blaire smiles at her. "Let's go to bed, we can talk more in the morning."

The rest of the group nods and gets up, splitting going their seperate ways to make it back to their dorms.

"Come on, you can sit with us!" Hermione smiles sweetly and grabs Blaire and Analia's wrists, pulling them towards the boys that she was sitting with at the feast last night.

"Hi Hermione," Harry greets and the girl smiles back.

"Hello Harry, Ron." She replies. "You both remember Analia and Blaire from last night?"

"Mhm," Ron nods and rubs his arm where Hermione hit him last night, making Blaire hold back a laugh.

"Do you like Hogwarts so far?" Harry asks politely and the girls look at eachother before nodding.

"It's nothing like the schools back America," Analia shakes her head with a chuckle.

A boy comes and sits down on Analia's right, who she recognizes as Dean. She smiles shyly at him, which he returns.

"So have you gotten your schedules yet?" Hermione questions the girls, who slowly shakes their heads.

"Were we supposed to?" Blaire raises her eyebrows.

"You were supposed to get them last night, I didn't see yours in our year's stack." Hermione tilts her head in confusion.

"We can get them later," Analia shrugs and two more ginger boys plop down across from the girls. They're definitely older, and look identical.

"Hermione-"

"Would you happen to know-"

"Where our dear old brother might be?" They alternate while Blaire and Analia look at them curiously.

"Being an arse," Harry mutters and Hermione shoots him a disapproving glance.

"He's probably still in his dormitory," she answers and Harry mutters something the girls can't hear before Hermione thumps him on the head.

"Ah," the twin on the right nods before looking at Blaire and Analia "Aren't you the students from America?"

"Yeah," they answer and the twins look at them in interest.

"Well, I'm Fred, and this my brother George." The one on the right introduces.

"I'm Blaire, and this is Analia," Blaire introduces and Analia waves.

"How do you like Britain so far?" Dean speaks up from next to Analia and everyone leans in a little closer, interested in what the girls have to say.

"Well, it's very different from America." Analia answers and Blaire chuckles in agreement. "For one, your school is much nicer. Ours look like prisons."

"Really?" Harry questions with a small smile.

"Yeah, we don't have a great hall either. We have a cafeteria, and it looks exactly like a prison cafeteria." Blaire explains.

"That's terrible," Ron shakes his head. "How are the dorms?"

"We don't have any," Blaire shakes her head. "We just stay at home."

The twins go to say something else, but they get interrupted by the Headmaster tapping the side of his glass. The hall falls silent, including the group of Gryffindors.

"Could our transfer students please come with me?" He rasps, and Blaire and Analia look at eachother before standing up. They can see the rest of their group making their way over to Dumbledore as well, and they walk a bit faster, not liking all the attention now on them.
