The New Life Meets The Old

Chapter 8

(Thomas POV)

When we got outside I saw Agent Mccall or now known as Agent Liar 2.0. on the phone waiting for us. As he saw us the phone hung up on whoever was calling him, we walked over to him.

"Agent Mccall, are we leaving?" I ask

"Yes we are. You, Minho, and Newt are riding with me in the jeep while the rest of you go in the SUV with Agent Reid."

"We aren't riding together?" I ask with a eyebrow raised

"No, but we're going to the same place and Agent Reid is my most trusted man" I nodded and we followed him to the jeep and SUV. Me, Minho, and Newt all got into the Jeep while the others got into the SUV and headed toward our new home. Me in the front with Agent Liar 2.0.

The drive was only thirty minutes, but riding with Minho made it sound like hours. He kept trying to make me laugh with his dumb questions, but I only rolled my eyes. We arrived at the preserve to see 12 people looking stressed, nervous, and excited. Agent Mccall told us to stay in the car while he talks to the people in front of us. He turned and motioned us to get out, so when I got out I opened the door for Newt and playfully bowed which caused him to smack me and grab my hand and started walking to Minho that was next to Agent Mccall.

"Can't go one second without being sarcastic can you Thomas?" Minho explained which caused me to smirk and shrug. Me and Newt finally came out of the shadows besides Minho and started to walk to the people.

"They look like cranks, especially the old one with the badge and gun," I noted in our minds, which caused Minho to laugh and Newt to roll his eyes at our behavior. They all gave us weird looks because we didn't say anything.

"What's funny?" The one with a crooked jaw that looks like Agent Mccall asked.

"Nothing, Mini Mccall" I said smirking

"Something must be funny because as soon as you looked at him he busted out laughing" The one with a leather jacket said.

"Well you little Sourwolf if you must kn-" I began but was interrupted by some jumping on my back. "Wow- Brenda! What are you doing?"

"I'm cold and Agent Reid said he wouldn't turn on the heat." She explained, jumping off my back. Then showed her fire mark and smirked. I had to mark them with a fire mark so I could warm them when they are cold or so we could walk through fire if needed. I rolled my eyes and put my hand over it making it glow/activating the mark to keep her warm for 2 hours, "Thanks Thomas" and running back to the car. I turn back to see their eyes wide and Newt and Minho on the edge of laughing.

"What?" I asked innocently, causing Minho and Newt to go over the edge and laugh.

"We hadn't told them about the experiments yet Thomas" Minho and Newt said between laughs

"Oops, Basically us three aka the golden trio were experimented on. I control fire, Newt controls Air, and Minho controls earth. We used to be four, but they betrayed us and could control water. Minho started laughing because I said someone here looked like a crank through telepathy." I described casually. Then Newt created a mini tornado, I created a mini fireball, and Minho made a mini tree out of our palmes
