Reader's POV:-
"Hey Y/N! Confess already. I know you like him, " Myungjun dragged my food tray away to his side, demanding my attention.
"Why should I? He should!" I grabbed the tray back and began eating.
"You can always be the man." He dragged it back.
"He IS the man, I don't have to be one." I dragged it to me, again.
"Girl! You both are just eighteen! No one's the man." He lightly laughed and dragged the tray, yet again. The whole school was watching this scene, literally, except him. The guy we were talking about.
"Can you stop? I said I won't confess. That's it." I glared at my friend, yanking the tray back to me.
"You have to. You know he's shy. What's the harm if you say it first?" He glared back, throwing my hands away from the tray as he dragged it back to his side.
"He is the one who started liking me first. So he should say it first." I gritted my teeth, not forgetting to drag the tray to me again.
"Come on! You're being childish."
"Come on! You're being nosy."
"I'm your friend!"
"Not my parent."
"You're rude."
"That's what he likes anyways."
Myungjun stopped for a while at my remark, and then pulled the tray with all of his manly force, the food inside almost wobbling to fall out.
"We were going off the topic, thanks for reminding me." I growled at what he said and pulled the tray back with equal force. We literally did not care who ever watched us as long as it wasn't Moonbin. The guy we were talking about, my first love.
"What do you want?" I asked, my hands firm of the tray handles.
"I want you to tell him that you like him. For the love of my vocals Y/N, it's been since elementary school that everyone knows he likes you! Now that you like him back, why don't you just tell him?" He didn't forget to tug at the tray again.
"Because I have heard it from everyone except him. I know he likes me but he hasn't said it himself for once! So I want to make sure he likes me or I'll end up getting hurt because what if he just doesn't?!" I practically shouted and in the process bit my lower lip to keep my voice low, hauling the tray again.
"Oh God! You seriously still doubt him? He likes you so damn much, why don't you just-?" He trailed off.
"He might not like me and it might just be everyone's delusion. And besides, why are you defending him? You are my friend!" I leaned in to examine Myungjun's expressions that seemed to get panicked a bit as he focused his eyes on me.
"Well-uhm-" There was a sudden change in the atmosphere. No bickering of the students who silently talked about us watching over, no loud laughs, no Myungjun's shouting, and just no one moving.
I felt something shift near my ear as a husky voice called out, "You want to make sure if I like you or not?"
Freeze.
Silence.
Breaths.
Panic.
Realization.
Shit!
The unsettling feeling was jerked off when the voice went away from my ear. I didn't dare turn around as he called out, "Y/N. Nice show going on. Continue."
I glanced at Myungjun who was equally terrified, maybe a little less. My hands dropped from the tray as I cleared my throat.
"Oh did you forget that the guy you were practically ruining the food for, goes to the same school as you?" He said again. His voice was quite audible and you guessed he wasn't standing very far away. This jerk.
I knew even if he would come while that scene was going on, someone would just inform me anyhow. Any of the fellows or friends. But no one did. Or maybe I was just to deaf to hear.
"Well, so look at me Y/N," his voice turned soft suddenly. No sarcasm, no teasing, no dominance.
That made me confident so I turned around ever so slowly, standing up on my feet, the chair making a screeching sound as I did so. Gosh my breathing, my heart beat!
"Look at me?"
I turned my nervous gaze up. "I like you,"
Shoot! Did he just-? In front of the whole school?!
I couldn't help the gasp that escaped my lips. But I quickly composed myself, hearing Myungjun's soft giggles behind me.
"Uh- I don- ugh." I didn't know what to say. I had imagined this moment like a million times but not this way! It had to be in private, with us alone so I could just kiss him instead of answering.
"You don't need to say anything. I know, well," he stepped closer.
Thump.
I licked my lower lip as I felt his sweet, chocolaty orbs bore deep into mine. Perfect.
I couldn't help the smile that made it's way up my lips as I looked at him, finally, without having to feel awkward. I could stare at him, now. He was mine.
Ever so slowly, I tiptoed to match his height, kept my hands on his shoulders and kissed his cheek. He blushed, making him all the way more cute.
I could see Myungjun throwing up.
"Get a room!" Dongmin rolled his eyes, clearly annoyed. Well, we all know why was he annoyed.
