"...are we just ignorant?"

After a while of sitting there in the hall with kids screaming and crying and adults trying to control them, the power came back on. A worker walked into the hallway.

"Someone cut a wire in the electricity box. Luckily, we have a backup generator so it's under control now," the man said.

"Who would do that?" Elena asked in a frustrated tone while crossing her arms over her chest.

"Beats me," the man shrugged, "You guys can go back to your rooms." He turned around and began walking back to his desk.

Lana and Beatrix exchanged looks of fear. Beatrix walked over to her and whispered, "Do you think it was him?" Lana shrugged. She was torn between telling the group and not. She didn't want to ruin the trip, but she didn't want to lie to them. She looked at all of them and decided not to. Guilt followed her.

"Let's just go to bed," Lana said, "Also, tomorrow you better update me on your 'moment'." Lana giggled as Beatrix turned red.

"Goodnight Lana," Beatrix said, walking away embarrassed. She grabbed Lance and took him back to their room. Lana walked to Tommy who was talking to Greg.

"Hey, are you ready to go to bed?" she asked him. He nodded and said bye to Greg and walked with her to their room.

Tommy dug the room keys out of his sweatpant pocket and unlocked the door. Lana walked in first and checked the bathroom, in case. She swung the bathroom curtain open, revealing nothing. Tommy looked at her in confusion. "Um, Lana," He walked to her a couple of steps away from her so he didn't invade her space. She turned around and looked at him, "Are you okay?" he asked.

"Just paranoid," She took a deep breath, "Honestly, I have a bad gut feeling for some reason. It's just stressing me out. My head is pounding because of it." She said, rubbing her head with one hand.

"Do you need ibuprofen?" he asked. She nodded without looking up. He went to his suitcase and pulled out the bottle of pills and dumped out two. Lana walked into the room and sat on her bed, "Here's this, and let me get you a drink," He said, dropping the pills in her hand and walking to the bathroom once again. He came back out with a small cup of water and handed it to her. She grabbed it and threw both of the pills in her mouth and took a sip and swallowed them.

"Thank you," She sat the cup on the nightstand and stood up. She pulled him down softly and hugged him, "I'm sorry." Tommy pushed her back gently, looking her in the eye.

"What are you sorry for?" he asked, cupping her face with one hand. Lana stayed silent and looked down guiltily, "Because of the stalker guy?" Lana nodded. He brought her head back up, making her look at him. "You don't have to apologize, it's not your fault. Okay?" he said softly.

"I feel like it's my fault," she said, holding his wrist, "Did you hear him? He said he would hurt you." A tear fell down her rosy cheek, Tommy used his thumb to wipe it away.

"I'll make that sacrifice," he said, "I would rather it be me than you." He gave a small smile. "And plus, he's probably, what, forty? I doubt he can take on Ronnie or Lance," Lana chuckled a bit and looked down to his lips and back up.

She gave him a slight smile, "C'mon, let's get some sleep." She took his hand and led him to the bed. He crawled to the other side of the bed as she stayed on her side. She slid under the cover as he followed. Lana scooted to him and wrapped her arms around his thin waist and placed her head on his chest. He held her and they soon drifted off to sleep.
