CHAPTER 1

Sela's POV

"Excuse me Miss, ikaw ba yung bago?." Tanong nito sakin.

"Huh?."

"Caretaker?."

"Of your heart?." Sht ano ba tong pinagsasabi ko?.

"What?."

"I-I mean no."

"You're too pretty to be one."

"H-huh?." Kunwari di ko narinig. Sela come on, don't blush.

"Wala." Sabi lang nito.

"Ikaw ba may-ari nitong bahay?." Sabi ko.

"We can say that. It's an ancestral house. Next year will be its centennial. So, if you're not the new caretaker, anong maipaglilingkod ko po sa inyo?."

"Uhm I'm Marsela Guia. Sela nalang. I'm a vlogger. Gusto ko sanang e-feature tong bahay nyo bilang content ng vlog ko."

"Is this about ghosts and engkatos again?. You know that sht ruins the history of this house I may say."

"Don't worry, I'm here to disprove those irrational claims."

"Well, glad to hear that. By the way I'm Abelaine Trinidad. But Abelaine is too formal so Abby nalang."

"Pleasure to meet you Miss Trinidad. Uh--Miss pa naman diba?."

"Miss, again. Anyway, pasok na tayo?."

"Ah oo nga pala, pwede na ba ko mag document from here?."

"Sure." Ngiti nya lang.

At ayun nga nag-intro nako and then pinakilala ko narin si Abby. Siya ang nagtour sakin sa bahay. Ang laki pala talaga dito.

"Pansin ko lang parang andaming paintings dito." Sabi ko.

"Yun nga ang ipinagtataka namin eh, kasi majority of the paintings na andito sa living room hanggang sa dining area ay walang signature ng artist. So, we assumed na gawa to ni Lolo Lino or ni Lola Don. Pwede ring nabili lang nila from an amateur painter. Actually hindi ko pa naiikot ang buong bahay. Recently lang din kasi akong nakapunta rito. Last week. I guess I have a lot of things to figure out about this house."

"Okay lang yun, we can focus naman on the things that you currently know. So, kailan ba ipinatayo tong bahay nato?."

"Natapos ang construction ng bahay nato nung September 2, 1921. This is originally the house of my father's grandparents. Lolo Lino was 2 years old nung mapatayo ito. Funny coincidence kasi that was the same date that my Lola Don was born, which means kaedad nya tong bahay."

"This house must have been long forgotten or intentionally abandoned, I just want to know kung bakit ka bumalik."

"When I learned last year about the existence of this house, I got really excited na umuwi dito sa Pinas. Perfect time because next year magiging 100 years na si Lola Don at ang bahay nato. I thought na hindi pwedeng padaanin lang ang araw na yun, it deserves a celebration. Kahit konting pag-alala lang sa kanila ni Lolo Lino bilang mga ninuno namin. So, I decided to research things about this place, our family's background, everything that could give us a reference to access the past."

"So, what actually is the plan?."

"I'm converting this place into a museum." Parang pati ako naeexcite rin sa project niya.
