A/N: Hey, so apologies for not updating but here's a pretty long chapter. I just finished reading The Secret History by Donna Tart so if anyone's interested in discussing that book with me pls do!! Enjoy.

The fresh and cold winter air brushed across my numb face as we walked towards the café. Trees, shops, vehicles, lamp posts, benches, and the streets we're all covered with precipitation in the form of small white crystals formed directly from the water vapor of the air at temperature less than 0° Celsius; also known as snow.

I was comfortable right away with my hands perfectly fitting his.

I could get used to this, strolling around the setting I grew up in with the little boy my little self would always be flustered too. This little girl would get this funny feeling in her heart whenever this little boy would be around. Confused and intrigued, 10 years later...she'd soon discover the meaning of this funny feeling.

With mittens and our hands intertwined, the 0° Celsius in December was lightweight.

"Ladies first" the not so little boy opened the door and gestured for me to come into the café.

"Aww what a gentleman" I sarcastically said and entered.

So many pastries presented themselves to me. I NEED TO EAT THEM ALL.

After ordering almost the whole menu, I chose a round table for two and placed a few of the pastries down and waited for a struggling Lou carrying a tower of pastries to our table.

"Be Careful!! I'll go ballistic if you drop any of them" I demanded as he made his way to me.

"Lils you're insane if you think we can finish ALL of this" carelessly putting the pastries down

"HEY! I said Careful with them pastries" I touched a few and made sure they weren't ruined. Geez isn't there a graceful bone in his body.

"You're beautiful, you know...when you get all mad and feisty like that." He put on that adoring smile of his.

"Thank you." I said in a Monotone voice and took a bite on a pastry.

After consuming countless mouth watering pastries and the comfortable silence between us...Lou spit out "I remember practicing how to ask you out in the mirror when I found out you were coming back to Wandsworth" he chuckled and was surprised that he mentioned that.

I was coming up with things to say but I couldn't. Who knew he'd be somewhat excited to see me

"You probably don't believe me but it's true. I did do that....and the worst part was..." he closed his eyes and shook his head "...Issie and Millie heard me practicing and bullied me about it" he looked like he was in pain or probably was embarrassed.

I sat in front of him laughing and shaking my head because I can't comprehend how this was all true.

"Oh gosh. You really practiced in front of the mirror. You did huh!" I couldn't stop myself from laughing. I got to make this man even more whipped for me because I can't be the only one whipped in this relationship.

"Goodness! Sisters are mean...and expensive" he chuckled and probably thought of his sister.

"Oh yeah when is Issie coming back from that trip of hers?" I wondered. I wasn't much close with Issie back then since she mostly hung out with girls her age. But she was still present in most of our play dates to supervise us.

"She'd be back just in time for the New Year countdown. I'm pretty sure" he took a sip of his coffee "Speaking of expensive. After paying for her plane fare to Greece, she said she'll bring me back a magazine. You'd think she'll bring back something grand after paying for her tickets for her Christmas gift but nooooo. Instead I get paper with words and pictures on it." What a diva.
