Class 1 was in the middle of an English lesson when Kita came. Osamu and Suna weren't there, as they were helping the coaches clean the gym thoroughly (Isuma knew that the other second-years- namely, Atsumu- had convinced them to do it so they could miss class, but she didn't say anything about it). She was taking notes when someone knocked on the door, interrupting their teacher's lecture. Everyone looked relieved as Kita stepped inside. "Excuse me, but could I see Miya Isuma for a second?"

Isuma glanced up, startled. Their teacher nodded. "Of course. Miya."

"Sure." She hastily stood up and walked to the door. Kita pulled Isuma into the hallway and closed the door behind her. She asked, "Yes, Senpai?"

"I had something to ask you, and this is the only time I thought I could do it without being overheard," Kita explained. Isuma anxiously clasped her hands behind her back. "Yes?"

"I wanted to ask if you could come by our practices more often. And just help out occasionally."

Isuma stumbled. "You- what? You mean- like a manager?"

"Not completely!" Kita hastily added. "Like on a trial basis; maybe for a few days. We haven't had one in years. Most of the girls that sign up usually are only interested in the guys, so Sensei kicks them off."

Kita leaned against the wall. "And you were great yesterday. Even Coach couldn't see the things you saw instantly. It was amazing."

Isuma traced her foot across the floor, not saying anything. "I'm not forcing you to." Kita continued. "I just thought you would be good at it."

Isuma's eyes narrowed slightly. "I have a question for you."

"Yes, it was Atsumu and Osamu who asked me to ask you," Kita said as if reading her mind. "How did you-"

"Just your expression. You should get back to class." He motioned to the door. Isuma started to reach for the handle of the door when Kita stopped her. "And thanks."

She nodded anxiously. "I'm not sure yet."

"That's fine. It's a start." Kita pushed open the door for her and looked at her teacher as Isuma made her way back to her seat. "Thank you, Sensei. Excuse me."

Kita closed the door behind him as Isuma sat down: she couldn't hear anything her teacher was saying. 'He doesn't know... there's no way he knows. Right?'
