Mystic Falls

January 28, 2011

Amelia Nero walked through the old rickety house trying to find her friend's bedroom. A few days ago she got a call asking if she could use her magic to help an old friend become pregnant. Her friend and her husband had been trying for years but so far were unable to produce a child. Amelia held her grimoire to her chest thinking about how she herself would never have children. Amelia was dating a vampire and vampires can not procreate seeing as they are dead so unfortunately having kids was not in her future. Amelia sighed running a hander through her long dark brown tresses. She made her way into the couple's room. The room was a pastel yellow with a large old fashioned wooden bed set in the middle of the room. A nightstand was placed on each side of the bed with a single lamp on both. Amelia looked at the plain room with a smile wondering if she would ever get to enjoy such simplicities. So far she hadn't due to her being the last Nero witch and her adoptive sibling, Elena Gilbert, always being in the midst of some sort of supernatural drama. Amelia got to work and opened her grimoire. First, she carved symbols into the corners of each bedpost. She then began mixing and crushing herbs specifically bistort, chickweed, and cyclamen. She added salt to bind the ingredients together and finally took out a small knife to cut her hand adding the final ingredient, her blood. She created a paste that she then wrapped in some cloth and tied with a piece of twine. She did this twice and then placed both of the small bags underneath the pillows that were on the bed. She smiled hoping it worked and was about to call her friend telling her the spell was done when someone wooshed beside her and grabbed Amelia's phone.

"Hey!" Amelia cried, "Give it back!"

"Is that any way to greet your boyfriend, darling," Kol teased the annoyed witch.

Amelia rolled her eyes before responding, "Seriously, Kol. Could I have my phone back now?"

"Let me think about it...yeah, no," he replied with a mischievous smirk before throwing himself on the bed. Amelia grunted before throwing herself on top of him in an attempt to get back her beloved phone.

"Ah, ah, ah. What are you doing here anyway?" Kol asked still keeping the witch's phone out of reach. He slyly placed it in his pocket before turning towards her completely.

"A friend needed some help so I helped," Amelia answered her boyfriend vaguely shoving him away playfully.

"How ambiguous," Kol grinned, "And what did this friend need help with?"

Amelia turned around gathering her stuff instead of answering his question. She knew the topic would only make them both upset.

"How did you find me?" Amelia asked trying to change the subject.

"The wonders of technology...I downloaded an app that shares both of our locations," Kol boasted proudly of his newfound skills with the twenty-first century's technology.

Amelia frowned and gave Kol a pointed look, "That sounds like a violation of privacy, babe."

Kol scoffed, "I like knowing where you are in case you get yourself into trouble. And knowing you well that seems to be often."

Amelia rolled her eyes, "Not that often..."

Kol sat up looking at her incredulously as he held up his hand marking his finger as he listed the many things that have almost killed her.

"Okay so..." Amelia tried to come up with a retort but instead failing.

Kol laughed and walked up to her placing his arms around her slim waist, "See. It just gives me peace of mind, darling."

Amelia nodded leaning into his warm and lean body. She loved it when he held her she always felt safer and more comfortable in his arms but before she could fully appreciate it she was turned around.

"Now why are you here, Ammy," Kol whispered softly holding eye contact with her.

"A friend wanted a fertility spell," Ammy mumbled, "She's been trying for a while so I helped her out."

"Why were you so afraid to tell me?" Kol cajoled further.

Amelia broke away from his arms and sat softly on the bed, "It's not that I was scared to tell you...it's that I didn't want to talk about it at all. Look, Kol, I love you more than anything else in this world but I'm also giving up things like having children. I always wanted a little girl to teach magic and bake cookies with."

Kol looked at her sadly wishing more than anything that he could give her what she wanted. He hated himself for even making her feel like she had to give anything up at all to be with him. He turned away upset and angry clenching his fists. Amelia looked at the love of her life and sighed before getting up. She grabbed his clenched hand and pulled him towards her.

"I love you, Kol. And I love our life together. I wouldn't trade a single thing for that, alright?" Ammy told him confidently.

Kol looked at her his eyes filled with desire, "I love you too, Ameilia Nero."

Kol passionately placed his lips against his girlfriend's lips moving synchronously with his own. They both moved towards the bed their hearts beating wildly. Amelia took off her shirt quickly before meeting Kol's lips once again. Kol placed his hands and her hips tracing the length of her waistband before undoing the buckle on her jeans. He slipped the jeans down slowly as he kissed his way down her bare chest. She moaned wanting him to just take her damned underwear off already. Kol chuckled in response taking his own pants off. They continued to passionately hold each other filling each other's every desire. That afternoon they showed each other just how much they meant to each other. Their love making even the greatest darkness disappear. As they made love they forgot about everything else including their uncertain futures.

That night Kol leaves to the Gilbert's home planning to make peace with his girlfriend's siblings. Though he would not let Silas be raised he would never hurt Amelia intentionally. But before he can give the Gilbert's the intentions he is stabbed through the heart with the White Oak stake ending his life. Amelia is heartbroken and soon leaves Mystic Falls for good with Taylor Lockwood and Hayley Marshall forever changing her life.
