The prompt for today is

Bottling up feelings isn't healthy.
Crying is.
Crying and eating ice cream is a soul cleansing experience.
I try not to overdo it, though.
Oooooh story time!
Me and my friend were at the park, (socially distant and w masks) and I was really not having a good day. It was a bad combo of period hormones, not getting a restful nights sleep, and a generally bad day.
Something happened, and it really just set me off.
I nearly started crying, and I was just holding it in. No one else noticed but my friend.
We were standing in the back of our little group, and we were gonna go to the deli, (parents, her brother, and us).
She stood there next to me, and just stopped what she was doing. She just stood next to me, a pillar of strength. She didn't do anything else, but her just being there helped. She was acknowledging that I wasn't doing well, and knowed that I didn't want to bring it up, so she just stood there as if to say "I'm here", and that was enough to stop.
I totally cried in my room when we got home (cause you shouldn't bottle up emotions!) but I thought that was a super queenly move, and that i needed to write it here.
