How could this be reality

Nothing made sense

How could the one thing you believed to be real be so far from the truth

Do other's know that reality isn't as objective as we thought

Does anybody know

Danni

Why was this happening? Why did it go from happy stuff to the most fucked up thing she didn't even remember? Why couldn't she even remember? Did her powers have anything to do with it or was this the doing of the weird old ghost who started this all? If it is that old fart's fault, did he make her see something that isn't real? Is that why she never remembered it happening in the first place?

The high speed train that were her thoughts was paused, distracted by a sudden blue flash from below. She looked at her bedroom, her younger self sleeping in bed. The wound on her thigh was still there and didn't look good. All her injuries had healed except for that one. It seemed to be infected as well. Except for the wound she looked rather okay. She was laying in a typical position, which she had gotten yelled at for, thinking she had broken her back in her sleep. She never understood what they were talking about. It started with a simple starfish position, bring up one knee to your chest and proceed to turn your upper body to the opposite direction. It was perfectly comfortable but looking at it from above she could get why people thought she broke. As comfortable as it was, it was hard to keep any position for long periods of time due to the painful wound on one of her thighs.

Now this she did remember.

The thing was a pain to heal. She never really remembered where it came from and after a few days of pain the thing disappeared overnight. Honestly she hadn't thought of the strange incident. The whole period around it was hazy and littered with blank spots.

The blue flash brought on a pair of clock hands, spinning around and opening a portal. Out of the portal stepped a giant beast with an arm made of ice and a belt with leather pouches attached to it.

What was Frostbite doing in her room and why didn't she wake up from the glowing portal right next to her. Her ghost sense didn't even go off!

Silently, Frostbite took out an orange vile and some pads before gingerly lifting up her wounded leg and disinfecting the wound. With each passing of the strange orange liquid, flakes of glowing green would come with. Once he was satisfied with the cleaning he took out another set of pads and a small pot with yellow paste in it. He coated both wounds on her thigh in a thick layer before wrapping it in a thin sheet of ice to keep the paste in place.

He packed up all his stuff and put the dirty pads in a container with a strange logo on it. It looked similar to the biohazard symbol used in the human world so it likely was the equivalent of that for the Zone.

As suddenly as he appeared, the frost yeti left once more leaving the younger alone in her room.

From above Danni wondered why Frostbite never told her he patched up her leg or that he even visited that night. Why did his portal look so weird? Aren't portals supposed to be green? And as far as she knew, the yeti chief didn't have the power to create any.

Come to think of it, Blur wasn't here either. Neither the distorted girl not her red chains were anywhere in sight.

Deep in thought, she didn't notice the barrier started to break. Realization hit as a deep crack formed right under her with an audible snap. She didn't know what to do, she couldn't fly. It was as if she had no access to her powers anymore. Panicked, she looked around and fearfully followed the cracks that appeared faster and faster after the other until she was left in the middle of a spiderweb.
