"CAN I GET YOU ANYTHING, BROTHER? a magnifying glass, a pipe perhaps?" Klaus teased Elijah as Elijah inspected Papa Tunde's body. "You have a theory that you'd like to share with us, Niklaus?" Elijah asked his brother already annoyed of his presence. "Back in the day, the witches wanted to send a threat, they'd just kill a chicken and leave it on your doorstep" Marcel gazed upon Papa Tunde's body. "It's rather a large and ominous chicken, wouldn't you say?" Elijah stood up from his squatted position. "Papa Tunde defeat Rebekah with ease, almost got the two of us as well. If he was supposed to be their prize fighter, why leave him for dead in our front yard?" Klaus discussed with the men.

"Well, don't you all look cheery. Listen to this...a girl literally exploded from a grave today as Sabine was giving her tour of the city of the dead. It was Monique Deveraux" Rebekah said as Leah entered the Quarter. "What?" Klaus and Leah asked both hearing what Rebekah just said. "The tourist thought it was part of the show, but the witches are celebrating like it's some kind of bloody miracle" Rebekah blew air out of her cheeks. "Maybe it is, they think that all hope is lost, but now suddenly harvest girl is resurrected. This is how we're going to get Davina back—kill the witch who took her place" Marcel looked at Leah who was scared to get her hopes up. "I have a theory about who one of them could be..." Hayley descended from the stair case showing them a picture of Celeste.

Leah glanced at Elijah then back to the picture. "Celeste, I mean, it's got to be. Davina was trying to tell us. She was drawing pictures of Celeste. she was warning us that a great evil was coming" Hayley tells them. Leah pursed her lips feeling awkward about the situation. "First Papa Tunde returns to settle old scores. Now, your murdered loves is back. This isn't witches attacking vampires. They're declaring war on us" Klaus looked at Leah who shrugged in response.

"I'll be back" Klaus stormed out of the Quarter.

Leah had been searching all day for a Klaus, he had run off to fight a coven of witches alone. She knew he wanted to do this without her to keep her safe but she was stubborn and knew he couldn't do it alone. She wandering the streets of New Orleans until she heard Klaus's screams. "Nik!" Leah screamed as she ran to him. "Get out of here!" he yelled back but she didn't listen. Leah pushed Sophie back as she stared into his eyes not knowing what to do, her breathes was ragged and tears prickled down her face. The blade began going deeper and deeper but she knew from his face that it was too late to pull it out. "Nik" she saw him fall to the ground as Sophie grabbed her arms.

"Let me go" she fought against her hold but was miserably failing. "Look away!" he screamed as he couldn't bare seeing her as he was being defeated. alas she obeyed as Bastiana was now holding on to her. "Should've stayed put" Bastiana 'tsked' as she casted a spell upon the demigod blocking her from her powers and her fathers. Leah fell to her knees feeling weak, blood trickled from under her eyes. "Stop" she gasped as she felt herself dying from whatever hex that was bestowed on her. "Mikaelsons will be your down fall" Bastiana stuck a knife through her stomach and she fell to the ground bleeding out.

"Marcel!" Elijah called out in panic. "Where's my brother and Aleiara?" Elijah marched through the Quarter. "I got guys out looking for them right now" Marcel answered calmly. Elijah did not like that answer, he started throwing vampires left and right. "Alright stop! Klaus threw one of his classic temper tantrums, snapped my neck, and tried to take on a coven of witches by himself..." Marcel stopped as he got to Leah's part. "And Aleiara?" Elijah asked calmly but got no reply. "And Aleiara?!" he repeated loudly and grabbed Marcel by his neck. "I-I don't know much but all I know is when I woke up there was a puddle of blood on the street and-and it was hers" Elijah dropped Marcel after his confession.

"Every one of you will help me to find them!" Elijah yelled then looked at Marcel. "I'm going to kill them all!" "Elijah" a weak voice echoed throughout the Quarter. Elijah turned his head and saw the bloodied girl, he ran over to her recognizing the voice. "Aleiara" he picked her up bridal style. "They took him and left me for dead" she cried into his chest as he cradled her. "I know, it's my fault" Elijah looked down at her guilty. "It hurts" she whimpered from the cuts, she did not realize the knife was still stuck in her stomach. "Let's get you to your room" he sped up to her room but not before getting her some water.

He quickly examined her wound as he sat her on her bed slowly. "I'm going to have to pull it out, when I do drink as fast as you can" Elijah tilted her chin up. she nodded and gulped slowly. "Now" he did not want waste anytime seeing her in pain. She groaned but drank the water as he pulled out the knife. "Better?" he asked sitting the knife down beside them. She nodded trying not to talk, her voice was strained from all of the screaming she did that night. "Get some rest" he kissed her forehead wanting to leave before anymore damage can be done. "Don't leave me, I'm scared" she hoarsely whispered as tears crept from under her eyes. Elijah looked at her seeing all the dried blood from her adventurous night. He saw not only what was on the outside but what was in the inside, a scared human. Yeah, she may but a demigod but only partially a god.

They had did this to her. From her stained face, to her soul, something that could not be repaired by water. She was strong and courageous, always doing what she could for them. Seeing the best in them when all they saw was monsters, and this is how they repaid her. By damaging a pure and innocent soul. "Don't be scared, Esklan" he wrapped his arms around her. "I'm sorry, I should've done more" she apologized feeling as though she was the problem.
"There's nothing more you could have done, I promise you" he laid his chin on her head. "Then why do I feel like I could've? I watched him! I watched him fall! It should've been me...it had scarred me Elijah, I can never unsee that! I want it gone" Leah cried until her tears wouldn't process anymore. Her head spun around thinking of all the other outcomes if she would've only moved.

She hated being useless, all she did was cause pain. Leah would never let herself become this low ever again, if this was how they lived then she didn't want to be apart of it but she felt drawn here, like a magnetic force was pulling her not only towards New Orleans but toward the Mikaelsons.

She would not rest until she finds her purpose. Leah had vowed to Klaus to never leave him again, and she intended to keep it.
