Chapter 20

Ash POV

As we were talking Serena just ran out. I felt bad maybe I was pushing her to much. I mean she did go threw a lot this past few weeks. As I was getting up to find her Dawn and May also got up. We all exited quickly trying to find Serena. But right before we left we had a little chat.

Dawn- Guys I don't know what to do about a Serena and Calem it feels weird to interfere.
May- Right now Serena is in a fragile state of mind maybe we should just let her figure it out.
Ash- No way! Serena is going to try and separate herself from us. Right now she needs structure she needs something to be the same. She needs us now more then ever.
Dawn- Right! Let's go find her!

We all stared to run as fast we could. We started to yell for her name but no answer. I was starting to get worried. But then I heard her yell, I quickly looked back at the others and started to run. By the time we made it to the sound I could see Serena running away and Calem!? Doesn't this guy know when to quit?!

Ash- What happened?!
Dawn- What did you say to her?!
Pikachu- Pika!

Calem kept quiet and looked down.  He looked sad and defeated like he just lost a war. I didn't have time for this so I asked one more time.

Ash- Calem what happened!?!!
Calem- She broke up with me..
May- What..?
Calem- She broke up with me!

I couldn't believe it. She broke up with him? I was so conflicted on how to feel about it. On one hand I was happy that Serena wasn't dating that jerk anymore. But then I realized how Serena must feel what she must've gone through.

May- We need to find Serena.
Dawn- Right.
Piplup- Pip!

We all started to run in the direction Serena went in. I couldn't stop thinking about what happened to be honest I never thought she would do that. But it shows that she has strength and I was proud of her. Eventually we could hear someone crying and we all knew it was instantly it was Serena. We immediately found her and saw her crying on the ground huddled in the ground and hiding her face. It was like she magically knew we were there she looked over at us. We immediately ran to hug and try to comfort her. She just kept crying it was like waterfalls following out of her eyes.

Eventually she started to pull herself together. She started to get up and wipe away her tears. We all stood up but immediately sat back down to talk about something again. She just needed to let it all out.

Serena- I just after all the crap I've been through. After all he did to you guys I didn't want to be with a guy like that. I was thinking about all day since yesterday when he slapped me. But to be honest I was waiting to do it..
Dawn- Like before the whole hell camp?
Serena- Before we even came before you guys even came to Kalos we've been worried. He's been getting worried about our relationship and every little thing. He would get nervous about me talking to guy or me leaving without telling him. He was very kind still and whatever happened to me he was always there. And he used to always help other people and he made the charity jar in the house. The charity jar would be a jar for if we ever got any extra cash we'd put it in there and at Christmas we'd donate that money. But now I'm not sure if I made the right choice.. maybe I shouldn't have given up on him so quickly. He would be kind and care for others sure he was controlling but maybe I was wro-
Ash- No way! He may have been good person. But look at him now look at what he's done. I don't know whether he's good or bad but I know he's not good for you.
Serena- So you think I made the right choice?
Dawn- Of course you did you did what you needed to.
May- Serena you need to do what's best for you. And honestly I don't think Calem is the best for you.
Serena- You really think that?
Ash- We're your best friends right?
Serena- Yea
Dawn- Then trust us.
May- You know what I think you need?
Serena- What..?
May- Some ice cream!
Serena- I don't know.. we have to get back to the others.
May- Cmon it'll help and the others will be fine trust me. We will go get some ice cream and just cry out all of our feelings.
Dawn- Sounds good! No offense Ash but this is a girls thing..
Ash- As long as Serena is okay that's all that matters.

I looked over and saw Serena blushing. She had finally smiled and looked a bit better. She got up and grabbed her poke balls and threw them out showing all of her Pokémon. All of her Pokémon looking at her and she just ran to them and gave them a big hug. It was then I knew that Serena was strong enough to handle whatever was thrown at her.

Time skip :)

Serena POV

At this point we had gotten the ice cream from a local ice cream parlor. We all had sat down at a little table with a nice umbrella. We were just laughing and talking and it was so nice to relax. It's so to not worry about anything and just relax. We were just talking about stupid stuff and performing and it was really what I needed.

Serena- Thank you you guys know your the best right?
May- Of course!

Ash POV

I had decided to leave the girls with Serena and let them do there thing. She had gone through a lot and May and Dawn would be able to help her. I had headed back to the school and get the plan. When I arrived everyone was discussing.

Clemont- How is she?
Ash- She broke up with him. I think she is just needs some time away from all of this.
Bonnie- Thank goodness I did not like him at all.
Gladion- Well I think we need to get back into that building and try and get the the tech. If they don't have that tech they can't use it against us. And we can use it to take back Aether paradise.
Paul- Right but this time we'll all go inside so we have the most power. Then the professor and Clemont can warn us about the guards using the hacked cameras.
Clemont- But I've been locked out of the system.
Kiawe- Is there really no way for you to get back in?
Sophocles- What about from the inside?
Clemont- Yeah that should work!
Paul- Then I guess your coming with us.
Ash- Right what time do we leave?
Gladion- Tonight when there not expecting it.
Misty- No we should go in the next few days if we do it tonight we'll all still be to tired from the battle yesterday. Let's rest so we have our strength for the battle.
Mallow- She's right and we can get you guys set up in the local hotel for free. My dad is friends with the owner.
Gary- Sounds like a plan. So what about Calem?
Misty- What about him? Serena dumped him so we don't have to stay eight him. Besides all he did was make us mad.
Bonnie- Yea I agree!
Dedenne- Dene!
Paul- Jerk or not he still has great powerful Pokémon that could help us.
Ash- No way! Not after what he's done he can go do whatever I'm done with him.
Pikachu- Pika!
Clemont- Paul does have a point.. We have to look at this logically, and logically speaking.. he can help.
Ash- Only if Serena's okay with it then I'm..fine with it...

As much as it killed me they did make sense. I was more mad at Giovanni then I was at Calem. Well they were both pretty bad. I decided I would break the news to her. I let them figure out the final details while I go find the girls.

After a little walk I found sitting at a bench. Serena actually looked pretty happy she was smiling like she was distracted from what happened. They all seemed so happy I felt bad bringing the bad news. I walked up slowly trying not to look to sad until Dawn said hello.

Dawn- Hey Ash!
Serena- Hi!
Ash- Hey guys..
May- You sound sad. What happened?
Ash- Well we're planning to go back to Aether paradise in a few days.
Dawn- Already?!
Ash- We don't want them to have the chance to strike first so we need to act quickly.

I looked over at Serena and saw her disappointment. She started to fiddle with her fingers and seemed nervous. I reached over and grabbed her hands to comfort her. She toke a deep breathe and looked down.

Serena- It's okay Ash we'll.. we'll have to go back to Aether paradise.

Hello my amour loving monsters I'm sooo sorry for this taking so long. It's just school is being wonderfully hard and is getting crazy. It's winter break for me I'll try to get stuff out sooner but I'm not promising sooner uploads but I will try.
