chapter 6 -another day of surprises-

*Mikas POV*

I was hoping not to see him today. I only have an interview in the afternoon and a workshop in the evening. Usually my manager attends all the interviews with me, but I am allowed to go to the workshops on my own. Yuu is only a mere assistant, with no specifically assigned person, basically just helping out. No chance to see him today. So when I enter the building of 'Morning Star', the radioshow everybody listens to in the morning, and get ready in the waiting room, I don't expect him to come through the door next to my manager.
For a second I let my emotions take over and guilt flashes through my eyes. Within a few seconds I regain my composure and change to a rather bored expression not sparing them another glance.

"Yuu is my assistant from now on and will accompany us to every assignment."

He looks at Yuu with a welcoming smile and tries to seemingly reassure him. Nervously fiddling with his fingers he returns the gesture with a small smile, his eyes never meeting mine.

"Everybody please go to your assigned positions, we'll be airing in 10 minutes."

Just great. I stand up and brush off the dust from my jacket. With a last look in the mirror I make sure that my hair isn't sticking out and that there's nothing on my face. Finishing off with my typical smirk I accidentally catch Yuu looking at me in the mirror. He immediately looks away. I frown internally but don't let it show on the outside. Gotta keep up my facade.

"Later."

"Remember what we talked about and try not to spoil anything this time."

"Will do. You don't have to always worry about me manager." I say and open the door.

"I have a name, you know that very well!"

The rest is cut off as the door to the studio closes and I put on the brightest smile I can muster. Here we go.

After 45 long minutes of the interviewer bombarding me with questions about my recent work and upcoming projects I am finally set free. How is it that no matter how often I tell them I don't have a girlfriend nobody seems to believe me? I sigh when a thought comes to my mind. I'd like to see their faces, if they found out I am actually gay. Chuckling I twist the doorknob to leave the studio and go to the changing room. Just the thought of it lifts up my mood and boosts my energy.

I don't want to imagine what'll happen if they really find out though. Hopefully that'll never happen.

"There you are."

I turn to the voice and see my manager approaching me with quick steps. Yuu is no where to be seen. I feel relieved but at the same time a little bit disappointed. Shouldn't he follow my every step, just like my manager does?

"There is a new assignment in your schedule for today. The actress for the female lead role of your upcoming movie wants to meet you today at 4pm. I already talked to her manager and it is a good opportunity for the two of you to get to know each other."

I look at him with disbelieve as he pushes up his glasses. Today was supposed to be a calm day. I just had another workshop in the early evening and that's it. I wanted to finally have some time to relax at home. And i certainly didn't plan on meeting my female partner for my next movie so soon.

"But I have a workshop at that time and you know how I wanted to spend my time doing-"

"It's final. The meeting was already announced to the company so there is no way to back out of it. Besides I appointed Yuu to accompany you to the meeting and to make sure, that you behave yourself." he looks down at his notebook and starts to scribble something into it without paying further attention to me.
