Harry's stopped going over everyday and Louis is beyond grateful. It's been three days and he can go through his days in peace and without flowers. No flowers, no flowerets, no florets, nothing.
"You home, Zayn?" Louis asks when he walks up the stairs to the apartment.
Zayn's sitting on a bean bag chair in the corner of the room, flipping through a magazine.
"Guess what?" Louis sits down on his bed next to the bean bag.
"You got a boyfriend?" Zayn suggests.
"What? No, the boy that keeps giving me flowers is gone," Louis grins.
"What'd you do to him?" Zayn looks genuinely worried.
"I didn't do anything to him." He stares at the ceiling with a satisfied smile. "I just finally told him to stop."
"Why didn't you do that months ago?" Zayn asks him.
Louis has no idea. Why didn't he?
"I just didn't want to. It was entertaining," Louis makes up an excuse to cover up for his cluelessness.
"I think he has a crush on you," Louis' best friend smirks.
"Had. He can't have one anymore."
Zayn raises his eyebrows. "You can't just argue someone's crush away, it doesn't work like that. If he has a crush on you, he has a crush on you. I don't make the rules, deal with it."
"But I don't want him to have a crush on me," Louis complains. "I was having such a good time and you just had to ruin it for me."
"Again, I don't make the rules, love," Zayn snickers.
"I don't have time for dating." Louis reaches to the mini fridge and gets a cold bottle of beer to drink. "I'm just trying to live my life. I don't need a girlfriend, boyfriend, or significant other. I'm good by myself."

Harry's so stressed. He messed everything up. He shouldn't have talked to him. Harry sits in his apartment, fidgeting with his hands. He can't sleep.
Just go to sleep. It's not that hard. Close your eyes, he thinks to himself. But his thoughts and regrets are keeping him awake, bugging his already full mind.
He needs to get up early tomorrow to water the flowers. He'll never be able to do that with an hour of sleep. Harry turns on his phone and calls his friend.
"Hello?" Niall says groggily.
"Hi, Niall," Harry replies quietly.
"Harry?" Niall sounds a bit more awake now. "What's wrong, H?"
"I don't know." Harry looks down and continues playing with his hand. "I don't have anyone to talk to."
Niall and Harry had been good friends for Harry's entire childhood, but they gradually grew apart as they graduated, like how people do. But before they really split for good, they made sure to assure each other that they're there for each other. And Harry really needs that right now.
"Are you still working in that flower shop in Doncaster, H?" Niall asks him.
"Yeah, why?" Harry answers.
Niall arrives in less than half an hour.
"Hi, Harry." Niall smiles and wraps Harry in a tight hug.
"Hi, Niall." He feels like crying.

"So Louis' right there?" Niall points out the window at Louis' record store.
"Yeah. Lives there and works there. Like me, but there."
