Chapter 2 ✨

Chapter 2; New friends
Alexus POV:
    "Are they really going to come over here? Is the other friend cute at least?" I asked before the boys came over.

"If I remember correctly, then his friend is cute but I haven't seen him since a party at the end of last year," Jade tells me

"Well how old---" I was trying to say before the boys came over with their food

"Wassup y'all I'm Amir" The one that was talking to Jade sai when they first walked over

"Wassup I'm Darrell, his best friend" His voice was deep and he was also dark skin and cute but he wasn't my type.

"Hey y'all, I'm Alexus and I just transferred from out of state and Jade is my cousin and this is Zai--" I said before I was cut off by Zaidee who was overly eager to introduce herself to Darrell

"I'm Zaidee, I'm both of their best friends but we're basically sisters," she said to both of the boys but was mainly talking to Darrell.

"Well, y'all can sit down and eat with us if y'all got time, they don't mind," Jade said while she nudged me so I can agree with her.

So after the awkwardness goes away, we all vibe really well and exchange numbers, and make a big group chat. I can definitely tell that Amir is a lady's man and he flirts a lot but we will definitely be the closet out of the boys. Both of them are really funny and they both are science majors and they grew up together. I think they said there's another friend that they want to introduce us to.

"So will y'all be coming to the back to school party on Saturday?" Amir asks All of us but it is directed more so to Jade

"It's already a month and a half into school but if my girls want to come then you'll see us there" Jade replied

"I'm down for whatever" Zaidee

"Me too. As long as I can drive so I can leave whenever I want to." I say as Jade and Zaidee roll their eyes.

I know I may seem like a homebody but I really do enjoy being out of the house just not so much. I like parties but the ones here can get real crazy. I'm talking like body shots and extreme truth or dare and not the kind you play in high school.  I just don't want to do anything that can ruin my new reputation.

"Alright, we'll see y'all later we have to go link with our other friend. Bye Jade" Amir said as he winks at Jade.

Jade blushes and I nudge her but she turns and mugs but I can see the smile trying to form on her face.

"Bye, y'all, and make sure to text us back." He says as he hugs us all but his hug with Zaidee is clearly more intimate and it was longer.

"How do y'all like them?" Jade says as soon as  we see them leave the restaurant

"I like them and if all/most of the boys at this school are like this then I'm cool with being here," I said

"Yea, I definitely Darrell. He's so sweet and his voice makes me wanna---" Zaidee says

"Okay girl, we get but can we go back to the apartment?" I cut her off and ask

"Yea come on because I still gotta help y'all unpack" Jade replies

Ten-minute ride later...

We get back to the apartment and Jade and I go to finish unpacking my stuff. When we're down we go help Zaidee but she's almost down so that was easy. We decide to get ice cream and candy and chill in my room and binge-watch All American.

Amir's POV:
**PSA this is when they first left the restaurant**

So me and Darrell go to Kairo's apartment to chill because we told him to hit us up when he got home from being with his mom all day. When we get in the car, I can see Darrell cheesing mad hard and I know it's about shorty from the restaurant.

"Bro, tell me the truth was you feeling shorty in there?" I asked him while turning to him

"Most def. I definitely think we could have something going and I know this might sound crazy but I'm definitely going to cuff her." Darrel says and I can tell that he means that.

" Well I'm definitely feeling Jade and I know she was feeling ya homie. Just know that when you do make her yours you treat her like a queen. When you get her, don't mistreat her because you didn't do all that chasing to let her leave after a month." I said to him but it was really to both of us.

I hate when dudes chase a girl down only to beat on her, cheat on her or to belittle her like why would you waste your time like that. Every women deserves to feel like she's the only person on top of the world and no one deserves to get cheated.

We finally pull up to Kairo's apartment, I'm chilling cause I'm think about linking with the girls tomorrow but I'm mostly excited about seeing Jade.  When we walk in his apartment, we are hit we smoke and I'm glad cause I did want to smoke. I saw Kairo on the couch so I went to dap him up but I didn't realize the ma and Darrell were still smiling.

"Whatcha y'all smiling for?" Kairo says as soon as we make our way over to him.

"Remember Jade, so we saw her today and her cousin and best friend" I said

"Apparently they all grew up together but her best friend Zaidee was definitely feeling ya boy" Darrell saying cheesing mad hard

"There was on more and I think her name was  Alexus and she was cool. She's real chil and not like the other girls here," I said to Kairo and nudged Darrel so he can I agree and I realized that Alexus and Kairo would go well together.

"Yea she's chill almost like a little sister to me and Amir" Darrell replied smirking

"Most def. I think y'all would go well together" I said to Kairo

"Who?!?" Kairo said while looking around the room

"You bro!!"

"Stop playing. Y'all know what happened the last time I was in a relationship. I'm done wit dem" Kairo said while taking a hit and passing the blunt

I take it and say "ok whatever bro" before sending a text to Darrell telling him about my plan to try to set them up.

The rest of the night we spent smoking, listening to music and playing 2k.
