Chapter 34

Xera's P.O.V.

After hours and hours of greeting people, it was finally midnight. I decided to go to bed. I walk up the staircase and head towards my room. I walk in to see Penelope lying on the couch. She looks like she was waiting up for me but passed out in the meantime. I look around and see a cabinet. I walk over and see a bunch of pillows and blankets. I carry two blankets and a pillow over to the couch that Penelope is sleeping on and move her into a more comfortable position. I put the pillow under her head then cover her up. I see that she laid some shorts and a tank top then went to the bathroom to change.

I still cannot get over how rich this place looks. I mean, for being hundreds of years old, this place looks in nice shape. I hurry up and change then go jump in my bed and get under the covers. I get comfortable then think back to tonight. OH CRAP! I was supposed to meet up with Noah out in the gardens! I fling the blankets off me and run out of my room. Now, where are the gardens?

I explore the castle until I finally come across what looks like hedges outside of some doors. I go over to them and open it up to reveal the most beautiful garden that I have ever seen. I walk out with my eyes wondering everywhere and at everything until I come across a figure of a guy. That must be Noah.

Me: Hey Noah! It's kinda chilly out here don't you think?

Noah: Don't worry, with what you'll be doing then you won't have to worry about the chilly air.

Me: What do you mean?

He didn't answer. Instead, he transformed into a silver dragon. Well....crap. I wasn't expecting this. He bends his head down towards me a bares his teeth. If I remember right, that is a sign of a challenge. I nod and back up some. Oh it's on.
