Staring up at the building that was to be his home for the forseeble future, the only thing Radar could think of was that it was... colorful. Much more than anything in Champion City.

"Yeah, it ain't much but until your three months are over you'll have to stay here."

Radar jumped, startled by the sudden voice of the owner of this apartment complex.

Radar looked at him confused.

"Huh? I'm sorry, I don't think I understand...?"

The man blinked, then he seemed to realise just how new Radar was to town.

"Oh! You're truly new here ain't ya? Well, as you can see everyone here is free to build whatever they want, but to make sure there's always more space- plus a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo- you have to be a citizen of Beacontown for three months before you are allowed to make your own. But it ain't all bad, you even get a roommate!"

What.

Radar froze.

A roommate? Oh no, no no no... he couldn't have a roommate! They would make fun of him! Ooh and he could bet that they were going to be messy and make fun of his routines and systems and-

Unaware of Radar's inner turmoil the man lead him into the building, grabbing a key off the wall and handing it to him, and with a final "don't lose the key" he walked off, leaving Radar to look down at the key and the number tag on it.

22b.

Sucking in a breath Radar walked to the elevator, pressing the button for the second floor and waited. The elevator music was slightly calming, sadly ruined by the sound of doors opening. Right, he was only on the second floor. Lovely.

... well it was actually kinda nice since that meant he could leave quicker and incase of a fire was safer but- ok you get his point.

Radar walked down the hallway, focusing on the random paintings on the wall. A llama, a spider with wolf ears, a dancer, a waterfall, etc.
There was the odd plant and bin for rubbish but the corridor was mostly empty.

Counting the numbers on the doors Radar continued until 22. Taking a deep breath he put the key in and opened the door.

No bad smells, that's good. Radar peered into the apartment. The walls were a light grey and soft blue, a large window allowing sunlight to peer in. The door lead straight into the living room, which had a half wall separating it from the kitchen, which was full of shiny new electronics. The living room had a large TV, a bookcase on either side of it, a corner sofa was placed so it was against one wall and so -when opened- the door hit the back of it.

There were a few plants scattered around, mostly cacti with beautiful flowers on them.

Radar peered into the hallway on his left, which led into a bathroom and two rooms, each studied he realised. One was occupied by quite a bit off equipment, some of which he only vaguely recognised.

The hallway on the right was shorter, only leading to two rooms, each on opposite sides of the hall.

One door was a light grey, with a few flowers and birds painted on it. The other blank. Radar assumed the blank one was to be his room.
