~August 23rd, 2013~

"(L/N)!" Hinata yelled as he ran towards you at the gym doors. "ARE YOU FEELING BETTER?!"

"Yes Hinata, I am! Sorry for missing so many practices," you crutched yourself over to the bench and sat down, letting your leg brace go straight out in front of you. "how are things going for you guys?"

"Good! You've missed so much, we have so many new moves! Just watch!" With that, he ran off towards the court, where all the boys on the team were standing waving towards you.

You smiled and waved back, and then made eye contact with Kageyama, smiling a little brighter.

His hand shot up in a small wave and he turned to start practice. You observed, they really did have new tactics. How they were playing now, they seemed like a whole new team. This was going to work. In 2 months, the team would be starting their fight for nationals at the preliminary tournament. You were starting to get excited as you watched, the new and improved Crows.

...

"Do you think you can take my bag? It hurtssss." You wined at Kageyama on your walk home from school.

He held out his hand and you plopped the strap into it. "This once."

"aw why?! You know I'm hurt Kageyama, I'm essentially useless."

"That's not true and we both know that. Why did you come today anyway? You know its too far for you to crutch all the way." He says sternly.

"I was excited to see you guys play is all..." you turn to him. "Why, you didn't want me there?"

"That's not what I meant!" He snapped.

"Pfft, ooookay." You giggled and continued to crutch forward.

...

"Ugh why does this walk seem so much longer, I got dropped off earlier so this is horrible," you stopped and massaged your sides where the crutches dug in.

Kageyama stopped and turned towards you, watching you try and ease the pain. He stepped forward and turned his back right in front of you. "Get on."

"huh?"

"Get on my back, if you're going to complain the whole way..."

"How chivalrous of you~" you put your arms over his shoulder as he bent down, and he hoisted you up onto his back. You were holding your crutches in front of him and he started moving forward.

"Heavy..." Kageyama breathed out.

"Hey, don't be mean now!" You spat at his comment and grumbled. "Kageyama?"

"Hm?"

"thank you."

"mhm."

"N-not just this..." you held on tighter. "For taking care of me these past few months. I'm happy I got to meet you." You face began heating up, but it was fine. You knew he couldn't see you.

"Mm." He answered simply.

~November 8th, 2013~

These past few months have been busy with volleyball practice with the boys, school work, and solo practice for you to get back into it.

However, its finally time. Spring national preliminaries. They made it past the first few rounds, and the team was gathered on the bleachers watching the game between Aoba Josai and Date Tech.

"He IS tall!" You spit out, looking at the tall filled out male. "How is he only a second year?!"

"That's Aone, he's really strong! I want to play him again!" Hinata yells enthusiastically.
