Ch 9: ♥️Heartslabyal Pt 7♥️

(Kai POV)
'Deuce is acting very differently than before'

I stared at Deuce watching on the sidelines with Grim while he started beating the shit out of the two students. Me and Grim shared a look of confusion as we stared at the scene taking place right in front of us.

"Th-this guy's a total madman! That was more than 6 hits, you liar!" one of the students stutters with more than a few injuries from Deuce "Oh, crap! Let's run! I'm so sorry, Mr. Chicken!!" the others also says while apologizing as they both runaway like cowards "Apologize to the eggs a hundred times before you stuff your faces next time, dumbass!!" Deuce yells back at them.

"D-Deuce please clam down!" I say with a worried expression going up to try to calm down him down.

Grim: (shrieks)

Deuce: (pants) Ah!!

"What happened to you!?" Grim asks surprised with the sudden change in personality from Deuce "I-I did it again... I promised myself that I'd be a model student for sure this time, and yet...!" he says to himself.

"Eh?"
"I wanted to be different from who I was back in middle school... I always skipped classes, and I got into fights every day. I didn't show respect to teachers and I hung out with a bad ilk of seniors. Even my hairstyle was pretty wild back then, too. I fought with anyone who I could fight with... I used magic even on guys who couldn't use magic. I was an over-all bad person then."

'I can't imagine Deuce was that kind of person back then'

"But one night while I was hiding myself from view... I saw my mother cry and talk to my grandmother about it. She was asking her where she went wrong with raising me, and about whether she was a bad parent for how I turned out. But that's not it at all. She's not to blame! Everything's my fault!"

"That's why, when the black carriage from the prestigious Night Raven College came to pick me up, I made sure that I will never take that smile away from my mother again. I made up my mind to become a model student that my mother can be proud of. And yet... Damn it...!"

"But, yanno... Is enduring all of that part of being a model student?" Grim says.

"Eh...?"
"If it were me, I'd have punched those delinquents ten more times, yanno? But you took care of it before I could." Grim says while punching the air "Grim's right though, even model students get angry at times, it's not good to bottle up all that stress and anger it's good to release those emotions so you don't explode" I advise him while smiling sadly at him.

I remembered when I was 12 I got really frustrated with my lava bending because I had to do it alone and it was rather difficult for me, since it was a rare ability I didn't have many people to go to for help.

I got so frustrated I just held it in all the time so I don't do anything stupid to my family or friends.

But clearly I held in so much negative emotions I eventually exploded on Bolin who was trying to help me.

(Flashback)

"Hey it's ok! You can get it right I know you can!" Bolin says patting my back to calm me down "let's take a break now."

"But I wanna keep working on this move!" I complain still trying to get it right. "Hey! I know you wanna get this right, but you need a break from time to time it's not good to over work yourself" He then starts to drag me away from my training area.

'I knew it. I can't do anything about my lava bending! I'll never get it right! Nothing is gonna get better if I don't train!'

"DONT TOUCH ME!!!" I grabbed his arm in a tight grip and slammed him hard on the ground making cracks in the ground.
"I KNOW I CAN GET BETTER!! TAKING A BREAK IS JUST GONNA HOLD ME BACK!!!" I yell at him with pure rage at mainly myself.
