James didn't know what to say for the first time in years. He was...rendered speechless.
He looked up at Thomas after about a minute of looking around the room. "Oh Thomas, you...y-you didn't have to..!" James said, the appreciation showing through his shy, happy voice. He went over to him again and wrapped his arms around him for a moment before pulling away. "S-sorry, I-I..um..."
He pulled him back and wrapped his arms around him "Hey James, it's okay darlin', I would do anything for you..." he said as he rubbed his back and a small blush appeared on his face.
He gasped quietly when he got pulled back into his arms and he blushed as well, closing his eyes as he felt Thomas's hand slide up and down his back. "Y-you would..?" He asked softly, opening his dazed eyes.
"Yeah, anything for you James...." he leaned down and kissed his cheek. He always did that to James. It was like a little comfort thing but he couldn't help but think about other things when he kissed his cheek. He would think about how much he wanted to kiss James's lips and just hold him in his arms all the time...he wanted James to be his so badly.
James, on the other hand, didn't think anything like that about Thomas. He just thought they were close friends. He flinched a little when he got the kiss on the cheek, since it's been years since that happened and he wasn't quite used to it. His face turned a little red so he turned his head away from him to hide.
Thomas looked down a little when he saw that James flinched, "I'm sorry if I scared you, I-I didn't mean too...." he bit his lip and looked at James a little nervous about what he was going to say.
"N-no, it's just...that hasn't happened to me in years so u-um..I'm not very used to it.." James said quietly, keeping his head turned to face away from him out of embarrassment. "I-It felt nice..."
He smiled after he said that and blushed softly at what he said "You did....ohh well, I'm glad" He looked around the room and then out the window "You know....it's a beautiful night....maybe we could--" he suddenly got a great idea "Scrap that thought. Come with me."
James looked up at him with curious eyes as he followed him to wherever he was taking him. He wondered what his first thought was and as he thought more about it, a blush quickly began to grow on his face.
He held his hand and took him to the balcony. It was such a beautiful view, you could see the whole city lit up at night and the lovely night sky. There was a white little bench out there full up of blanket and pillows making it so comfy. It has a little shelter over it so if it rained they could stay out there and be dry and warm. He laid James to the bench and smiled "Hey, I did this one myself....I know you're a softie at heart so I thought I'd do this.."
James blushed at the sight of it, covering his mouth a little bit. "T-Thomas..." he went over and looked at it, a little afraid to sit down. "I-I love it..! W-why did you...d-do this for me..?" He asked shyly, looking up at him with his blush becoming more and more visible.
"Because I think you're the most important person in the world Jamie....so gorgeous, so amazing....you deserve everything, everything good" Thomas said with a smile as he looked out at the city.
James bit his lip, walking over next to Thomas at the edge of the balcony, putting his arms on the railing. "N-no I don't..." he mumbled, looking at the lights of New York. "I'm not important..I'm just another ordinary person in this world..."
"But you are Jamie, to me you are." he looked over at the small man and got closer as he wrapped his arms around his waist "You mean everything to me and you always have James..."
