MEMORYLOG - 00:03

Some far-infrared musclemen grabbed me after my report and dragged me off to this stupid cell. They took all my stuff. I can't draw or read or plan an escape. I'm going to get so freakin bored.

MEMORYLOG - 00:09

Booooooored. There's a small gray line on this wall where the metal got scratched. If I stare hard enough at it, it might turn purple.

MEMORYLOG - 00:17

Ah, and thus the madness sets in. The line turned not only purple, but also started flashing and then growing and shrinking in size. My eyes hurt.

MEMORYLOG - 00:24

I figure that it's time to stop staring at that line on the wall and start wondering what I'm even doing here. If Gamma wants to negotiate a peace treaty, he's going to need me, as I can enter both worlds. Of course, he's always looking for some way to alienate and destroy. And UVB might be able to enter both worlds too. Maybe she's in AER now. I hope the Anti-Far Infrareds didn't arrest her.

MEMORYLOG - 00:35

I heard a noise from the ceiling. It's probably just the metal expanding and contracting with the heat. My hands are covered with dried blood - it's kinda gross. They got cut up when the Far Infrared guards yanked my microphone away from me and one of the switches got caught on my hand.

MEMORYLOG - 00:52

OMG I just got this HUGE static shock AAARGH. I probably shouldn't have been rolling around on the bed for the past fifteen minutes - the covers are made of polyester.

MEMORYLOG - 01:01

Ooh, just missed the 1-hour mark. I wonder what the guards are doing with my things. I hope they like my book. It's a sappy romance novel about an anti-X wavelength falling in love with an antiradio girl, set when the caste system was much stricter. The book is incredibly stupid, but I like it.

MEMORYLOG - 01:28

I just saw someone walking outside my cell. It looked like one of the visible wavelengths. I know that they and the antivisibles hated each other even before the split, but the ultraviolets - my counterpart included - were on good terms with us. I guess the bright side of this whole fiasco is that we might get to see our counterparts again.

MEMORYLOG - 01:40

There's this song stuck in my head that I heard a long time ago. It's a pretty accurate description of the split between light and antilight.

The photons were all friends,

then the peacetime ends,

The Lord of Light got in a fight

and never made amends.

Ever since that day

Antilight kept away

But never fear, we like it here.

Cyan and Black must have done most of the work. Yellow and Magenta were never really into the creative arts and such. Also, the Antivisibles, Anticosmics, and part of the Antimicrowaves are the only ones in AER that don't care about their counterparts. Everyone else...well.

MEMORYLOG - 01:58

Since I don't have my book, I'm reciting little excerpts to myself insteaOMIGOSH IS THAT NEAR INFRARED. He's one of my favorite wavelength groups. I'm waving to him, but he's talking on his phone and doesn't see me. I wish his personality and Anti-Near Infrared's were switched - ANI is such a creepy paskudnyak.

Two near-infrared guards sat by the door of the reporter's cell. Neither of them know why she was there.

"To negotiate?" wondered one. "Maybe we're using her as a bargaining chip. Hey Micrometer, do you think we're going to negotiate with AER for peace?"

"No negotiations, Sub-micro," said Micrometer. "You know the master - looking for any reason to alienate and destroy. I guess Lord Gamma has some plan having to do with the reporter. Besides, AER has basically ignored us for, like, ten billion years, and it's time we establish some contact."

"Contact...like killing them all? I'm not sure that's a good thing."

"We're not killing them!" Micrometer checked himself. "Uhm...we aren't killing them, are we?"

Sub-micro shrugged. "With Lord Gamma, you never know. I hope not - I really want to see our counterparts again. See if they're as mean to each other as they were before the separation."

A loud clanging noise announced the arrival of Far Infrared. His pale pink form flickered a bit, then solidified, as he stared at the two guards expectantly. They hesitated, confused, then bowed to Far Infrared. He nodded, smiling, and strode past them to the cell door.

MEMORYLOG - 02:19

I'm still bored. For the past 15 minutes or so I have been halfheartedly amusing myself with throwing the pillows in the air. I wonder when thAUGH WHO'S THAT

Oh, it's just Far Infrared, come to haul me away to the Lord of Light's inner sanctum to be interviewed or something. Just an ordinary day for Anti-UVB the newsgirl...JOKING. :/

MEMORYLOG - 02:49

Dang that was some grilling. Anti-Far Infrared doesn't talk at all (I don't even know what his voice sounds like), but this guy can go on and on and on for THAT WAS ONLY HALF AN HOUR? WTH??? Well, anyway, it felt like wayyyy longer. So he was grilling me about what I do, and I said I only tell everyone in AER what's going on in the world of light. And he was getting all suspicious, like I was a spy or something, and I was all like "don't you have a reporter or something too? Y U picking on me?" and he got defensive and started yelling at me. Yeah, not the best half hour of my life.

MEMORYLOG - 03:03

BORED BORED BORED SO FREAKIN BOOOOOOOOORED oh wow, only took 14 minutes. I think I won't last very long here...

Someone get me out of here.

Please.
