El récord mundial al país democrático que más tiempo ha permanecido sin gobierno, es propiedad de Bélgica con un total de 589 días entre los años 2010 y 2011. Después de las elecciones, las regiones Flamenca y Valona no terminaron de ponerse de acuerdo con las políticas necesarias para formar una coalición gobernante. ¡Y pensar que Bruselas gobernaba Europa sin tener gobierno!
