A Bittersweet Smile

I opened the letter that I hold. It was from mum. It's been a while since I heard from her so my brain tried to guess what was inside. The piece of parchment that was inside said;

Pansy,

I sent this owl to inform you that me and your father has made amends with eachother and has decided to get back together, that is all. Write back.

Mum.

After reading the letter my lips formed a Bittersweet Smile. Not that I'm not happy about the news, it's just that something feels off. My mum's writing always starts with Dear, and ends with Love, or some kind of endearment. I shrugged it off and went to write a letter back for her.

I gave it to my owl and it gracefully flew across the night sky. Once again the wind embraced me as I watch the full moon and the stars that sparkles above.

The next day everyone was chatting in the Great hall for it was lunch.

"Have you heard about what Potter got himself into again?"

Dapne gossips while me and the girls listened carefully.

"He 'accidentally' hexed a 3rd year." She while putting finger quotations and the word accidentally. "And the ridiculous part is no points were taken away from Gryffindor! While when I actually accidentally hexed someone 70 points got taken away from us UGH!" She groaned.

We all groaned from what we heard.

"Sometimes I wish the name of Dumbledor on a stone on a graveyard." I said basically wishing him dead.

The girls responded with same's and I know right's. I hurried to DADA with the Gryffindors and let out a sigh of relief when Proffesor Snape still wasn't there.

This is advanced DADA so most of my Slytherin friends aren't here sure there is some Slytherins but I don't know them. I sat behind Mudblood Granger and another Gryffindork who were chatting and giggling. They didn't even notice my presence behind them. I leaned over to eavesdrop on what they were baffling about.

"Oh Merlin, why are you so in love with him anyways? He's a Malfoy! He wants you dead. No offence but I don't think you have a chance with a Pure-blood supremacist like him."

"Really? Then tell me why did he kiss me." Granger boastfully retorted.

My heart dropped to my stomach. I regretted I eavesdropped on them. I slid out my chair and headed straight out of class ignoring Proffesor Snape that I encountered while walking out. I ran through the corridor hoping he would be at the end of the hallway to hug me, to comfort me, to wipe the tears on my cheeks, to clarify something that I hope to be a misunderstanding, but it only came to my disapointment that he wasn't there. No one was there.

My world that I built around him crumbled. My world revolved around him.

Suddenly, I didn't knew what love was.

Suddenly, our story ends.

Suddenly, my Emerald necklace stopped sparkling.

Suddenly, the light in his eyes stopped shining.

Suddenly, the letter wasn't for me.

Suddenly the smile was only bitter.

Suddenly... He wasn't my only exception.
